If you have ever had a pet dog or cat before then you probably already know that the two don’t always mix well with each other. Then again, that isn’t always the case.

These four furry pets, for instance, will have you questioning what you thought you already knew about cats and dogs.

As the video below shows, there is at least one cat in the world who knows the value of befriending dogs.

The cat in question has made himself the sassy feline friend of not one, but three, Golden Retrievers! Why? Because life doesn’t get any better than having three Golden cuddle companions.

The video shows the cat doing his best to get in on some snuggle action with the Retrievers.

Cat – “Hey guys, is there any room for your favorite kitty to snuggle in?”

Dog – “Nope, all full in here.”

Cat – “Well move over cause I’m climbing in any way!”

This cat is not interested in sleeping anywhere but with his posse of Golden retrievers.

We can’t say we blame the little furball, though, since it looks like the owners of these adorable creatures dress the dogs up in outfits that may confuse a cat.

This alone may be the reason this little kitty loves to cuddle with dogs!

Ahhh, it looks like the doggies actually like it.

These four have really shown us that although one member is different than the rest, you can still be a happy and loving family.

It looks like the three dogs tried to leave room for the cat in the corner, but the kitty isn’t having it.

Right on top is where this cat likes to sleep!

One gets to sleep while the other two wish it was their turn.

Staged or not, this is the cutest dang thing we have ever seen. Look at that kitty completely snuggled up, head lying on one dog’s leg, while the other leg comfortably hugs the cat as they both sleep the night away.

The other two dogs even almost appear sad that it’s not their turn to hug the cat to sleep.

Purring the night away…

We only hope that kitty cat can breathe in there, though it looks like she’s doing just fine.

Indoors – outdoors – it doesn’t matter cause I’m all yours!

Cat – “You’re not getting away from me doggy.”

This cat is seriously in love with these dogs and cannot sleep unless it is all wrapped up in super Golden loves! Seeing this adorable display of affection, how could you not want a gang of Goldens and a cute cat to dote on?

Before long, the cat starts pawing around looking for a more comfortable place to snuggle, but her Golden Retriever buddies pretend they’re asleep.

Dog – “Quick guys, go to sleep before the cat sees us.”

“Ah darn, the cat found us again.”

There is no escaping this beautifully decorated feline when it comes to taking a snooze in this house.

It must be pretty dang cozy all nestled up in that long fur, in between two doggies.

If you are considering combining the two species in the same house, we would encourage you to do a little research as to which types of cats and dogs tend to function well together.

While these three seem to get along great, past experience tells us they may just be an exception to the rule.

In an article published by AKC.org and written by Stephanie Gibeault, the topic of cats and dogs residing together is talked about in more depth. There is also information on different breed types to consider if you are going to be housing the two together.

One breed is the Basset Hound.

Just looking at these droopy eyes and ears, screaming:

“I am way to lazy to chase you kitty. How about you come over and give me something soft to rest my chin on.”

Here are a few more breeds that the AKC.org recommends: Beagles, Bulldogs, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Collie, the obvious Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, and the Pug.

While not all dogs and cats will get along so well, it’s nice to know that there are some breeds known to be pretty inter-species friendly when it comes to hunkering down together for a nap.

Just don’t be surprised if they aren’t nearly as adorable as this spoiled cat curled up with her gang of Goldens.
