Determined cat won’t give up until she fits into this tiny fish bowl

If you have a cat, you know they can be pretty resourceful little creatures. They are usually independent and don’t want or ask for much help. They like their snuggles and food and like to play. But, they’re not needy animals and can be pretty self-sufficient. One cat is also showing us that felines are also determined.

One cat has shown us that if you put your mind to something you can certainly do it, even if it looks impossible, which in this case, it does.

Exhibit A. Cat meets fishbowl. There are no formal introductions. But, this cat certainly has an agenda that the fishbowl may or not be on board with.

You would think she would just try to roll around or something, thinking the fishbowl was a ball. That would be a safe assumption. But, no. This cat has something else on her mind. What is she thinking? Just wait.

She starts by just walking around, surveying it. Should I? Should I try it? First it looks like she thinks it’s just a hat because it just fits on her head. What a nice, clear hat. Then, she tries to put a few paws in but takes them out. What is she doing?

Maybe this isn’t the best idea. Or is it…

She comes out for a bit and looks at the bowl. How am I going to do this? Think, cat think. Then it must be her a-ha moment.

She’s ready to see if she can squeeze herself into this fishbowl. What did you think she was going to do with it?

Yep… that’s right, squeeze herself into it. We’re not really sure if she was bored, or was just up for a challenge. But, we do know that she wasn’t going to give up…not by a long shot.

According to PetPlace, cats like to try to squeeze themselves into smaller places (like fishbowls) because they feel snug and protected. They have a natural need to be warm and protected. So, it should come as no surprise that she was going to try to squeeze into the bowl to give her some extra comfort. We’re pretty sure that no one is going to bother this cat in the fishbowl. There certainly isn’t room for any more guests!

As you watch this cat, you can tell that’s definitely thinking about her next steps. After a few cases of trial and error, she gets the front paws in, then the back paws, then the rest of her body.

Purr-fection! She’s in! Her little head is popping out perfectly like she was meant to be in there. She has enough room to move her head and breathe, and she looks strangely comfortable. If we tried to do that, I think we would be very uncomfortable, that is, of course, unless you’re a contortionist!

Remember, cats like small spaces, so she’s got to be in heaven right now. There isn’t anything much smaller than this!

So, the next time your cat sees a small space, don’t be surprised if she goes in for the squeeze!
