It’s a known fact that cats and dogs don’t always get along. Sure, that is not always the case, but they tend to have that reputation… And a recent clip that was uploaded to YouTube earlier this year further proves that they aren’t always best friends all the time.

The 36 second-long clip shows a cat and a dog sitting on a couch together. The cat is actually propped up on the couch’s arm, slightly behind the dog, watching him very closely.

It may look a little creepy and mischievous but hey, we’re going to give the cat the benefit of the doubt and say this looks like it is off to a pretty civil start.

The dog is just sitting there, minding his own business. He is not doing anything wrong. Really, he is just sitting, maybe watching TV or a plate of food from afar.

But the cat doesn’t care. It wants to start a fight, maybe… At least, he’s thinking about it.

The owners of the cat and the dog are watching the whole thing and getting it on tape. Clearly, they think it is hilarious as they are heard giggling the whole entire time. We don’t blame them either because this interaction seems to be heading down a very interesting road.

As the cat continues to watch the dog, it starts to point its head down more and more, so that he can really stare down the dog. At one point, the cat’s eyes widen — looking both terrifying and intriguing.

It looks like the cat is about to make a move, but it is really thinking about it long and hard first.

This cat seems to be so disciplined it is actually pretty impressive — that is, until the cat finally makes a move.

The cat slyly moves its paw out very slowly, inch by inch. Even when it finally starts to make a move, the cat still seems to be thinking about its decision. The cat’s paw is now out in the air, reaching for the dog, but the cat still takes a moment to make a paw-to-paw connection.

Then the cat finally rips the bandaid and decides to plunge itself into the dog quickly, only to find that was a foolish mistake. The dog — who was just quietly sitting by itself — is suddenly scared and pounces right back at the cat, who finally made a move.

The dog was not having it.

The dog jumped around and bit the air to scare the cat away, who hilariously jumped off the couch. The cat looked like it was scared right out of its fur and the moment was so funny, the owners watching were beside themselves with laughter.

It was a short but sassy and entertaining moment, which was so funny it actually went viral on the Internet. It currently has over a million views and thousands of likes and comments and we understand why — it is hilarious!
