Cat in kitty heaven on first trip to beach and keeps making the cutest faces
What’s the best thing about summer? That you can go to the beach, obviously! Now, have you ever taken your pet with you?
Most people who own dogs tend to take them to the beach with them at some point. Some of those swimming or sunbathing around might look upset at first, but eventually, everyone realizes that dogs also have the right to enjoy the sun, sand, and water just like humans do.
How often, though, do you see people carrying their cat to the beach?
Well, scarcely, we must admit. And why is that? Probably because they think it’s too much fuss for a couple of hours in the sun, or because they are overwhelmed by the things to consider, and so on.
Still, there are some people who dare to bring their favorite pet with them- and they rarely regret it!
Just like the proud owner who decided to take their cat with them on an outing at the beach a few weeks ago. A Facebook user, Sensema Mahmoud, posted on the Facebook group Travel Secrets club, photos of a super excited kitty, commenting that her owner said it was her first time going to the beach.
In the pictures that were posted the cat looks perfectly happy in the unknown environment, enjoying her time in the sun, playing in the sand, or simply sunbathing on a lounge chair.
The kitty is too cute to watch and she has the brightest smile ever- apparently, her first beach experience was a huge success!
Within a few weeks, more than 22K people have reacted to the post, while another 2.5K have left comments.
Judging by the emojis used in the comments, we can tell for sure that the public loved the kitty and would be tempted to do the same with their own cat if they got the chance.
Now, if you are one of those people who would love to follow this owner’s example and take your fluff-ball to the beach, then you should probably be well prepared.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind before your first adventure with your feline bestie.
First of all, it would be a good idea to leash train your cat before heading to the beach.
The beach and seawater is an unfamiliar environment for your cat, so you don’t need to add extra stress to that by throwing a leash onto it without having prepared it somehow.
Another thing to consider is bringing a cat carrier with you.
An alternative to a leash is to keep the cat in its carrier, but then taking it to the beach with you wouldn’t be much fun, would it?
It doesn’t matter if your cat is leash trained- you need to transport it somehow. And a cat carrier is perfect for a car trip- make sure it’s spacious enough though! It would also be a good idea to put a familiar object in the carrier (like a blanket or stuffed toy) because its smell will calm the cat down.
Keeping all these in mind will help you have a good day with your cat at the beach- hopefully as good as this smiling cat’s beach day! Enjoy!
