Many often stereotype cats as indoor pets who prefer solitude. They are seen as standoffish and introverted. Some think that they would rather be alone than to go out for an adventure. While it is true that cats like to have their personal space, it is not true that they do not know how to have fun.

Those with pet cats are aware of how friendly and adventurous felines can be. They are as playful and active as any other pet. They’re even willing to go on wild outdoor trips as long as they have a reliable, fun, and loving human by their side.

One such cat is Simon the adventure cat!

He is a beautiful black feline who has a dashing, playful, and curious personality. He has captured the hearts of many and his videos have been watched millions of times, and for good reason.

In one particular video, which has been liked on Facebook over 50 thousand times, we are given a brief glimpse of the many things Simon does with his human for fun.

He loves the water

Unlike some cats, Simon is not afraid of getting wet. He can swim very fast! Plus, he is able to catch up even when the current is strong.

He enjoys hiking

Simon’s daily routine includes going on long walks and hiking trips. He is undaunted by new trails. He seeks out his own path and makes his human keep up.

Fortunately, he is so well-loved that his dad always chooses the easy trails, though we’re sure this cat could take on just about anything.

Ain’t no mountain high enough

Simon also climbs easy mountain terrains. He is no stranger to trekking. He is very agile and can move with ease on the stoniest path or the grassiest land.

Snowing? No problem!

Our furry ball of adventure is a snow lover.

Even when the snow is inches thick, you can see him sniffing about and examining the trees around him. But you don’t have to worry, our little friend does not feel cold.

He always wears a special warm sweater that fits him like a glove.

He loves the sunny days too

Simon also enjoys running about on sunny days. The sun has a special place in his heart. He watches the sunrise with his dad every day. Every time the sun is up, he knows it is time to discover new things.

He goes rafting

There seems to be nothing Simon won’t do. He even goes river rafting with his human!

He never goes without his special gear though. They are aware of the risks so they always play it safe.

He goes in the back to backpack!

Simon literally goes in his dad’s backpack during their backpacking trips. He seems very comfortable being carried around this way.

His owner seems to enjoy this set-up as much as our furry hero does. To him, there is no better travel buddy than his cat.

The secret to his success

Simon’s exciting lifestyle is mainly because he travels with his human and best friend.

In every journey, he is well-protected and given the best possible gear. He is not allowed to go to dangerous places and his human is always near.

No wonder, he has the courage of a thousand cats.

For his part, the owner has praised the cat for his many qualities including his loyalty and friendship. He believes that he has learned to share his space with others because of his cat.

He truly loves his little buddy and he is definitely loved back.

There is still no place like home

In spite of his daredevil reputation, Simon is just a normal and loyal pet who loves his home and his human. He seems most satisfied when he is curled in his little corner or being silly with his dad.
