Many pet lovers own both cats and dogs. Though they live under the same roof, they do not always get along. There are many fights that people around them need to break up.

This is exactly how Lyla and Koda’s story started

This is Lyla. She is a beautiful cat with sparkling green eyes. She used to be the sole apple of her parents’ eyes. She was spoiled with undivided attention until her little brother came along.

Koda came and chaos ensued

Less than two years ago, Lyla’s parents adopted Koda. He is a German Shepherd with a wide smile, thick golden fur and a dazzling personality. He is not shy and is able to charm many.

Lyla was not warm to Koda in the beginning

When Koda was a puppy, Lyla found the experience of having a little brother strange. While the pup was a truly cute charmer, he was also a bit reckless.

In a popular video posted by The Dodo, their parents chronicled the many tensions between the two. Lyla seemed particularly annoyed at how her brother got away with teasing her so much!

Peace was not the only thing destroyed when Koda was around

The little puppy seemed to always get his way. He even destroyed his parents’ things. He also bothered his sister so much that they began having small shouting matches.

Lyla was annoyed with her little brother. Though Koda would instigate the fights, as the big sister she almost always got blamed.

Lyla had to watch Koda grow up into an awkward teen

As most cute puppies do, Koda grew up. He had a weird phase which his big sister had to sit through. Lyla had to endure Koda doing silly things like wear shoes that do not fit him.

They had more fights as Koda grew up

Lyla and Koda’s relationship grew crazier as time passed by. The German Shepherd became much bigger in size. He did not realize that his playful teasing can hurt his big sister sometimes.

Koda would also have friends over. It made Lyla a bit jealous. She felt no one was paying much attention to her.

Eventually, Lyla thought her brother was swell.

Lyla and Koda were literally fighting like cats and dogs. However, those fights never led to hatred. Their constant presence in each other’s lives grew into a lovely sibling relationship.

They are there for each other

This brother and sister have nothing but love for each other right now. They eventually matured and felt nothing but great affection for the other. For example, Lyla stayed by her little brother’s side when he was unwell. All the tension that happened between them just melted through time. Eventually, all they had for each other was peace and love.

These siblings belong with each other

The bond between these siblings is deep. Together with their parents, they form a family. Cats and dogs might be enemies in many movies but in real life, these two are inseparable.

Their parents are proud of them

Their parents are very happy to have these cuties around. Aside from being cuddly and charming, the twosome have good attitudes towards life. Their positive energy is radiated in both of their Instagram pages. Of course, their humans post pictures of the sibling in each page too.

Truly, love reigns supreme in this mixed family.
