Although both are home pets, cats and dogs are still two different creatures. Just like what most of us know about them, they simply dislike each other. They oftentimes fight over almost everything and they don’t want the other one invading their territory.

However, some people say this is a myth or superstition and that cats and dogs can actually co-exist with one another. Well, the cat and dog in this story couldn’t agree more.

It’s time to meet, Joule and Kelvin.

Joule is an adorable dog while Kelvin is a ginger cat. If you don’t know them yet, you’ll find them and their everyday adventures on their Instagram account. There, they share their goofy and ‘anything under the sun’ moments.

While most people, even pet owners, find it hard to put two different species of animals under the same roof, not for Joule and Kelvin’s owners. Their owners was able to conveniently put these two home pets together and they easily clicked together.

Best buddies!

That’s how you’d describe them after watching their tons of photos and videos online. Joule and Kelvin’s friendship goes beyond its own definition. Although there were times when they annoyed each other, those instances didn’t break the incredible bond that they have.

They enjoy napping together, playing, and goofing around the house. They rarely go far from each other’s side, it’s almost safe to say they’re like slippers: where one goes, the other follows.

One could only imagine how fun it is to be inside their home and share every precious moment with them.

A test!

In one of their recent videos, their owner set a camera up to see the difference between “Joule joining Kelvin” (when dog joins cat) versus “Kelvin joining Joule” (when cat joins dog).

The top portion of the video is when Joule tried to lay down beside the napping ginger cat, Kelvin. She quietly surveyed the area and then she walked slowly beside her cat friend. She made sure her sleeping buddy doesn’t wake up as she delicately laid down next to him.

On the other hand, when it was Kelvin’s turn to join Joule in bed, the feline simply walked toward her and placed his front paws on top of the dog’s body. It woke Joule up but she eventually calmed down as soon as she realized it was her feline buddy.

By the looks of it, Joule and Kelvin’s friendship is the type of relationship that can’t be questioned. They simply love each other and they enjoy it more when the other one is around.

Can dogs and cats really get along?

If Joule and Kelvin’s friendship isn’t enough to prove it, then I don’t what would.

In fact, according to Nylabone, “The majority of cats can happily coexist with a dog if they are given time to comfortably get to know each other. If a puppy and kitten are raised together, they generally will learn right away to tolerate each other, and some cats and dogs grow to be real friends, even playing and napping together.”

It’s true that opposites attract, just look at how unbreakable the bond is between Joule and Kelvin.
