When a family has a pet such as a cat or a dog, that pet is essentially another family member.

If they want something, they probably get it because they are just that cute and cuddly. This includes any family rituals, like dinner at a certain time every night, or group prayer. A family’s pet would probably like to be included in that, don’t you think?

A kitten named Tofu was just a few months old when she was rescued from the rough streets. Unfortunately, when she was found, the person who discovered her was not able to keep her, but luckily there was someone who could.

That is when Mohammad Fahmi decided to adopt Tofu.

Now, as we said earlier, this cat is a beloved member of the family just like everyone else.

“I convinced my mom to let Tofu stay,” Fahmi told The Dodo earlier this month. “The whole family didn’t really like pets, but now everyone is super into Tofu.”

Since Tofu loves her family and also has a strong sense of curiosity, she likes to be included in pretty much everything they do together. No matter what they are doing, she wants to be there and go along for the ride as well.

Fahmi is also a religious man.

Under normal circumstances, he goes to the mosque five times a day to pray.

However, now that we are currently in a pandemic and everything is shut down for the time being, Fahmi has moved his prayer sessions from the mosque to his home.

The best part is that every time Fahmi goes to pray, his cat never fails to follow along and join.

Whenever Tofu sees Fahmi on his way to pray, she joins. She absolutely loves taking part in the activity with her owners, whom she loves so much.

When she sees all of the family members gathering, she actually gets excited!

“Tofu always loves when our family members are gathering in one spot, so whenever me and my dad go to pray together, she joins and just sits or disturbs us,” Fahmi said.

The funny thing is that when the family shared one big rug, Tofu would go crazy and roll all over it. It was adorable but, naturally, it kind of distracted everyone from their prayer. So they had an idea.

To keep Tofu from distracting them, her family gave her a mini rug that was just for her. It was the perfect solution.

It helped tame the cat, but she also just really loved having her own little spot on the floor while her family got to business.

“Lately, she started to understand that the small rug is for her so she doesn’t disturb the others, that took a while. That was a travel rug (adults use it only to cover the part where our face touches the ground), but we rarely use it anyway, might as well use it for Tofu,” Fahmi continued.

Tofu is a very sweet cat.

Because of that, she will always be happy whenever her family all get together to hang out. It doesn’t matter what they are doing, she just loves to be around them.
