When you think about it, ‘scaredy-cat’ is a very common expression, but it doesn’t make much sense.

Most cats are fearless, climbing tall heights, hissing at people and animals twice their size. They’re generally living life with a devil may care attitude.

When confronted with not one, but two alligators, one cat demonstrated his fearlessness.

Mugsy is the name of this brave cat. He didn’t think twice about confronting two ferocious alligators to save a human. And his valiant rescue was captured on video.

The video starts with a human passing by an alligator. That’s when Mugsy swoops in to protect the human from the alligator lurking on the shore.

He initiates a ferocious standoff with the alligator.

He and the alligator are squabblings.

“Wow, isn’t that interesting?” says someone watching the intense interaction from behind the camera.

That’s when the cat makes a daring dart toward the alligator to scare him.

It also works! The alligator takes a few steps back, not wanting to incur Mugsy’s wrath.

“Unbelievable, oh my God,” says the viewer. “Don’t get too close. He’s scared of the cat.”

The correct term is “scared alligator.”

“The cat has no fear,” the viewer observes.

Mugsy is just staring coldly into the alligator’s face at this point, causing the alligator to shrink back.

The terrifying cat became too much for the alligator to bear, and he cowered back into the water.

“Oh wow,” said the man. “That cat showed him.”

But it wasn’t the end of the story.

The alligator emerged from the water. This time, I’m teaming up with a friend to take on Mugsy. Mugsy didn’t even flinch. Mugsy isn’t into that.

He was irritated that the alligator dared to confront him.

Mugsy charged at the alligator and swatted him with his paw, causing the alligator to retreat into the water.

Mugsy then approached a boy for some cuddles.

“Crazy, look at him he’s a friendly cat but aggressive with the alligator. It’s the most amazing thing,” the man says before telling a friend that he‘s missed “the most amazing thing.”

Mugsy certainly warned those alligators and we’re confident they’ll leave his humans alone. It’s incredible to watch this cat in action and see how terrified the alligators are of him.

What a hero he is!

This video of two hungry, vicious alligators emerge from the Bayou swamp, has received over 14 million views. Mugsy the cat springs into action to save a boy from becoming their dinner.

One person explained it.

“Reptiles are good, but cats are the ultimate predators on earth! No matter the size.”

Another person commented and shared the same experience.

“Many cats actually get very protective over children, especially if they’ve known them since birth. My sister had a cat that would sit on the back of the couch while she nursed there and hiss at anyone who got too close to the baby.”
