David Durst is a truck driver. However, he doesn’t ride alone. He also has his partner, Destiny, with him, so it’s really as if the truck is their home. But, at some point, they decided that something was missing from the arrangement to make it all feel homier.

After giving it some thought, David and Destiny decided that a cat was the missing piece of their puzzle.

They wanted to get a cat as a companion on their long trips across the country. Soon, their wish was granted and Tora the cat turned up in their lives.

“First thing that we noticed was her flat face,” David told The Dodo. “Instantly seeing how cute she was we knew we had to have her.”

Given that the couple only goes home every five to eight weeks, it was impossible to have a cat at home and leave it alone for such long periods of time. After all, they wanted her to be their travel companion.

So, they decided that Tora would be the third member of their truck crew.

“She actually took to the truck very well,” David explains. “She actually enjoys getting up to the windowsill. We have some toys, or she’ll be trying to climb a seat.”

The couple’s daily schedule on the road has always been quite tiring and boring.

They wake up in the morning, they work for 10-14 hours- as in driving for that long- and then they sleep until the next day when they do exactly the same thing.

However, when Tora joined them, they were motivated to add some more activities to their daily schedule.

“Having a cat on a leash, it kind of forced us to get out and we have to walk and we have to be more active,” David admitted.

Tora cat has been to 42 states so far.

Most of the time on the truck she spends playing with her toys, napping or just looking at other truck drivers as they pass by.

David and Destiny are convinced that their trucking life has gotten a lot easier since they got Tora, probably because they have someone to keep them alert and active.

They also get to cuddle and snuggle with their sweet cat a lot during the day, which is stress-relieving in its own right.

Tora the trucker cat even has her own Instagram account.

There, she shares her daily adventures with her 22K followers. Instagram users are crazy about her, and they can’t stop commenting on how cute she is.

“You are too cute!” someone commented on one of her pictures, while another user wrote: “I can’t tell you how much I love this picture. That is the sweetest face ever.”

It seems people love Tora – and how could they not? This cat is simply way too adorable to ignore.

Her dad said he’s really happy seeing her excited about their trips together. After scrolling through all of their awesome adventures on social media, all we can say is that we can’t wait to see more.
