Sweet cats are so infatuated with their bunny brother, they hilariously refuse to get out of his cage
Cat owners usually have to be pretty careful about what other animals they choose to keep in the house.
Fish or birds run the risk of getting eaten, and we all know dogs and cats aren’t famous for getting along!
And usually rodents make the list of risky co-pets as well. But every now and then, an unlikely animal friendship steals our hearts, like this one.
Beau the bunny has a big personality and has lives in a home with three cats.

Scarlett Darby adopted him, or rather, he adopted her. He instantly fell in love and started following her everywhere she went so she decided to make it official and bring him home.
โWhen I first met Beau, he basically chose me to be his owner, he was so beautiful and had such a great personality and followed me around until I adopted him,โ she told The Dodo.
Years later, Scarlett and her family wanted to adopt a cat. They believed they could keep peace between the two species and adopted Ninji, who quickly adapted to the environment of the house, including the existence of Beau.
After a while, the family decided to add one more pet to the mix – another cat this time.
The new cat and the bunny hit it off immediately. They didn’t just coexist, they played together and became good friends.

When Ninji came across Beau’s special rabbit enclosure, he decided to call it home and jumped right in and curled up.
Scarlett was, understandably, concerned. She thought Beau might feel threatened and would want to keep his enclosure to himself as a safe space.
But it turns out he didn’t mind Ninji being there at all. If anything, he enjoyed the company!
Since Ninji joined the family and proved that cats and rabbits can live together in peace, Scarlett adopted two more beautiful cats. And they love Beau just as much as Ninji does!

They all like to curl up in Beau’s rabbit cage together – looking pretty cozy indeed!
It’s beautiful to see how well the whole animal family get along so well.
Of course, not all cats and rabbits will get along like this. So don’t go out and adopt a cat and rabbit together right away!
The chance of a relationship like this working out depends on a couple of factors.
For instance, a larger species of rabbit is more likely to get on well with cats because they will look more intimidating. The cat won’t have such a strong instinct to chase and catch them – like they may with a smaller type of rodent.
Some larger bunny breeds include the French Lop, and Flemish Giants. A fitting name! But they really are giants, and can be quite a handful!
And of course, just like cats and dogs or any other animals cohabiting, it’s best to introduce them to each other when they’re both young.
That may not have been the case for Beau and his feline siblings, but it certainly makes adapting to the lifestyle easier for pets when they start out together at a young age.
While the kittens are still innocent and impressionable.
If different species of animals can live together in harmony like these little ones, can’t we all?
Scarlett and her partner certainly took a small leap of faith when integrating these guys into one home – but it paid off!
