But what happens when pet owners use the cat filter and then show their altered face to their babies? Well, cuteness happens! In a hilarious video that has been liked over 44 thousand times, pet mommies recorded their babies’ reactions to their owners digitally transforming themselves into felines.

I am suddenly very scared

This adorable white cat with striking emerald eyes just could not believe what her mom looked like. She is in complete shock! She pauses a few seconds while looking at the device. She just cannot get over that her mom looks like a cat on screen!

Is that you mom?

Do you know what babies look like when they eat unfamiliar food for the first time? This cat’s reaction is similar to that. He seems utterly shocked and confused that his mom looks like a three-colored cat.

I love you but the makeover is too much

This sweet kitty does a double-take after seeing her mom become a feline on screen. She is not afraid though. She continues to cuddle her human while trying to figure out if the transformation is permanent.

I want to cry

This feline’s beautiful features are filled with sadness after looking at the filter. She is not pleased with her mom’s sudden change in appearance. She knows what her mom looks like and wants that back.

This cat does some serious side glares after looking at his human’s fake new features. He is giving a clear signal that he knows better. He knows his mom is a cat person but is not a cat herself!

This dog growls his way through the short clip. Although he looks angry, he is able to control himself. Dogs have a very strong sense of smell. He knows 100% that it is his mom cuddling him.

One dog is uncertain about how to take his mom’s transformation. Is he supposed to laugh at his mom’s silliness? He does a lot of awkward glances towards his human as if showing his tolerance towards the entire situation.

Although the video was cute to many, some did not appreciate it. Some commenters thought that scaring the cats and dogs on purpose was unnecessary. However, many pet owners defended the video. They said that pets know their humans inside and out and no filter will convince them otherwise.

Many noted that after the initial shock, all the pets simply shrugged it off and moved on. Both cats and dogs knew that they were in a safe place.
