For one very obvious reason, Elvis’s concert days are long gone. But this video makes it look like The King of Rock and Roll is alive again.

Celine Dion, the world-famous musician who sang My Heart Will Go On, first performed in public at the age of five, at her brother’s wedding.

However, by the time she became a famous musician, Elvis Presley had died, meaning that she would never get the chance to perform with him. Or would she?

Thanks to the wonders of technology, we know what a Celine Dion and Elvis Presley duet looks like. And it really is as amazing as anyone could possibly expect.

The performance begins with two figures walking onstage. Both are in silhouette, so the audience has no idea who it is.

The lights show that it is Celine Dion and, somehow, Elvis Presley. Clearly, this is a hologram. But it looks so realistic!

The hologram Elvis starts singing If I Can Dream, his 1968 hit.

Then Celine Dion starts singing the next line. She looks at Elvis as she does so. The two have real stage chemistry together, even though one of them isn’t actually there at all!

Then they both sing together. They harmonize so well, it’s easy to forget that this Elvis isn’t real.

The two performers keep on singing together on stage for a while, until backing singers walk on. They add some amazing acapella sounds to the performance.

By the end of the song, the performers have completely hypnotized the audience. They can’t believe what they’re witnessing. Elvis ends by thanking the crowd. Although, really, people should be thanking Elvis for being kind enough to perform decades after his death.

This video shows all of the possibilities that are out there today.

Just imagine, in a couple of years, you could be going to a genuine Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie or Elvis Presley concert. It could be so normal that no one bats an eyelid!

In fact, there are already companies out there that are making hologram concerts a reality.

For instance, Base Hologram is a media production company that is currently creating hologram concerts of Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, Maria Callas and Whitney Houston.

It’s not really surprising when you think of it. People love live music, and they love nostalgia.

Of course, a hologram concert is not the same thing as seeing a musician perform live. But what if they were so convincing that it seems like a real live performance? Surely people will flock to them?

Videos and news like this show that we really are living in a sci-fi wonderland! Soon, we will all be able to say that we’ve seen Elvis, or a version of Elvis, live!
