Cesar Millan is a Mexican-American dog trainer who became popular because of his 8-year-long reality TV series ‘Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan’. He also owns his own line of dog products and instructional DVDs. Before he even made it big from his reality TV series, Millan also used to rehabilitate severely aggressive dogs and he founded a rehab complex called the Dog Psychology Center in South Los Angeles.

He also wrote books, Cesar’s first three books including ‘Cesar’s Way’ which became New York Times best sellers and have cumulatively sold two million copies in the United States alone thus making him a New York Times best-selling author.

Cesar and his former wife, Ilusión Millan, founded the Millan Foundation which was later renamed to Cesar Millan Foundation. It’s currently being called the Cesar Millan PACK Project and it was built to give financial support to animal shelters and organizations that are engaged in rehabilitating, rescuing, and re-homing abused animals.

There’s nothing left for him to prove in showing his passion and dedication for animal welfare. Although not everyone, including dog owners and other dog trainers, believes in his way of training dogs.

However, there is no doubt that millions more than his doubters believe that ‘Cesar’s Way’ definitely works.

Some might find this surprising but Cesar made a big revelation about the biggest mistake dog owners often do.

In his 2019 TV guesting at the Strahan, Sara and Keke, one of the hosts, Keke Palmer asked Cesar what is the biggest mistake that people do with their dogs.

“I believe that we humans need to be trained so it’s not the dog, it’s the human behind the dog,” the Dog Whisperer answered. “For example, most people believe that pitbull is a breed that is dangerous, but animal, dog, breed, name – so they’re all dogs but different breeds. We’re humans of different races, so it’s not the breed, it’s not the race that has a problem, it’s who raised the dog.”

Do you agree with him? It’s true that the time will eventually come when you’d start to ask whether you are raising your dog right or not. While for some dog owners, dogs are simply defined by their breed, Cesar said dogs are defined by the people behind the dog. We all know that dogs adapt to their environment and the way they’re treated, simply put, it shows the kind of environment the dog has if it is extremely aggressive, don’t you agree?

Cesar’s interview racked up over 3 million views with people leaving comments about their take on what the Dog Whisperer said.

A YouTube user commented, “Oh wow. I appreciate his knowledge. It makes sense. The breed of a dog isn’t bad, it’s how you raise the dog. Your reaction can trigger a dog to react the same.”

Another one seconded and wrote, “My daughter has a pit bull named Jake who is the sweetest dog. Jake was raised with love and is never aggressive. He is 6 years old, and if he ever met you, he would kiss and lick you to death. Caesar is right about how the owner raises them.”
