Chameleons can be cute. Just watch this little guy interact with his human.

Anyone can gain the trust of cats and dogs, but to get a reptile to trust you is a different level of cool. Not everyone will show you their true colors but this lizard was not afraid to show his.

The lizard’s name is Teemo, and he doesn’t mind being on camera for his human, Taylor Shawn.

Taylor’s mornings begin with him feeding the dog (who looks very pleased), before making his way over to Teemo, who seems to be eagerly waiting for some human contact, surprisingly.

Shawn’s barely stood in front of Teemo’s enclosure when the chameleon appears, looking overjoyed since he knows what’s coming next. And just check out those colors!

Teemo eagerly stretches out his arm, looking super excited to get on Taylor’s hand. It’s not often you see a lizard behave this way. Especially when you consider the fact that chameleons are loners.

They may be fascinating but owning and caring for a pet chameleon isn’t for everyone.

Chameleons are arboreal, preferring to live exclusively in trees. They will need cages with ample foliage for climbing and privacy, with the enclosure giving them lots of space.

Branches of various sizes need to be provided for climbing. The cage should be filled with branches or live foliage but be sure that nothing in there is toxic. The chameleon may eat the foliage.

Basking areas of various temperatures must also be provided in the enclosure. Some chameleons are happier at higher temperatures while others at lower temperatures.

Teemo is definitely comfortable with his enclosure. But this reptile prefers to be on Taylor’s hand. He keeps reaching out, even giving him a really adorable look that’s caught on video.

This is a chameleon in case it hasn’t sunk in yet.

He is so cute, red coloring and all. Teemo could change it but maybe he knew he was getting a close-up so he went for something striking. But it’s the way he is with Taylor that’s so cute!

This very red chameleon likes to lock eyes with his human too.

“If anyone sees this and it makes them want a chameleon, know that 99 percent of the time they’re not like this and want absolutely nothing to do with people. Attempting to handle them usually stresses them out a lot, it can take months of patient, slow attempts at interaction before they even get comfortable enough for you to get near them without hissing at you.”

Makes you wonder how Taylor raised Teemo.

Still, the internet is thankful to see a chameleon interact with a man this way. Taylor bonded with his lizard as if it were a dog. Except this one changes colors and doesn’t mind staying still.
