For students, homecoming is always a high-pressure and high stakes day, and you just want to leave a lasting impression if you have to entertain a crowd.

Entertaining the crowd is definitely something that these cheerleaders have done, as their incredible performance left the entire audience in awe – and has even gone viral on the internet.

It’s simply so good that you want to watch it over and over again.

Homecomings don’t happen all the time and it’s seen as something very important. It’s safe to say that this cheerleading team took their performance very seriously and they definitely delivered.

Or, perhaps it would be better to say that they absolutely rocked it!

We’re talking about the Washington-based Shorecrest High School.

This cheer-team is clearly very proud to represent their school and its colors.

The typical green and gold outfits make for a unique sight, and you could even say it turns into quite the whirlwind when these young students start dancing and performing their moves with pompons in hand.

Throughout the entire performance, you can just feel and hear the energy coming from the crowd.

When the beat starts playing, the young men and women cheerleaders move their pompoms in all directions – and in all kinds of poses.

As soon as the beat starts to pick up a bit, so does the team – punching, squatting, kicking and turning in a perfectly balanced and synchronized rhythm.

These folks definitely know how to make it look easy, but they must’ve went through hours and hours of practice.

Their green and gold energy is absolutely infectious!

A couple of seconds in, some of the cheerleaders start forming one of the acrobatic structures.

A young woman is waiting in the middle with the boys around her. In just a matter of seconds, they manage to dazzle the audience with an air toss and a split that are both perfectly in sync with the music.

It also helps that the school sings along to the song, and it allows the team to feed off the crowd’s energy.

And the dancing part was yet to come!

They decided to go with the classic Britney Spears song “Womanizer”, and the ladies absolutely killed it.

Their dance routine was completely in the same style of the dance, and this first bit of their performance definitely set the tone for what was still to come.

The whole team was setting up a lift, with claps and high fives all around, and after some incredibly cool acrobatic moves, these girls fell directly into the arms of their teammates.

It didn’t take long before the crowd erupted in a standing ovation.

The amount of repetition and practice must’ve been astonishing, but all the different steps were executed perfectly and at a very high tempo, so it definitely shows.

The next song was another classic, this time one of The Pussycat Dolls. Their routine on the beats of “When I Grow Up” was equally as impressive!

There’s a striking amount of teamwork and talent on display here, and it must’ve been absolutely fantastic to witness something like that live.

A video of the Shorecrest Cheer Homecoming was posted on YouTube, and it quickly went viral with over 2.2 million views!
