Most children want expensive things. Parents don’t always buy them these things, as they worry that the purchase will be a waste of money. But Sabastian proved how much he wanted a pony.

When Sabastian was four-years-old, he went on his first-ever pony ride. From that moment onwards, he was dead set on having a pony of his own.

Of course, Sabastian’s parents thought that he was adorable. But they explained that they couldn’t get him a pony. A pony is a huge commitment and much more expensive than a dog, they said.

At first, Sabastian was incredibly upset. He couldn’t understand his parents’ concerns. But eventually, he realized that they thought that he would get bored with the pony, just like how he got bored of toys.

But Sabastian was determined to work out a way to get a pony. He realized that he would have to buy one himself.

He decided to save every single penny he got in Christmas and birthday money.

After a while, he had $40. He wondered if that was enough for a pony. Unfortunately, his dad told him that he still had a long way to go. In fact, they cost around $1,000. And he would need $1,000s more to house, feed and look after the animal.

Luckily, this news did nothing to hamper Sabastian’s ambitions. He realized that if he really wanted to get a pony, then he would have to go out and earn some cash. So he did the thing that any entrepreneurial child in his position does: he got into the lemonade business.

At the age of five, Sabastian founded Sabastian & Co, a cold drink station unlike any other childhood lemonade stand.

All of his drinks were labeled and bottled. He sold them for $2 each. Later, he gained even more profit by offering ice tea, ice coffee and many other flavors of drink.

Two years went by, and Sabastian’s parents were amazed to see the child’s savings grow.

Eventually, he had put together $3,000. That was enough to get a pony and look after it for a while.

But by now, Sabastian’s parents had been convinced that the child wouldn’t get bored of the pony. If he could put this much energy into buying a pony, then surely he would give the animal the attention it required.

So one morning, they took Sabastian out into the yard and surprised him with the thing that he wanted most in the world. A beautiful pony was waiting for him.

The parents told Sabastian that he could keep the money he had earned.

Sabastian could no longer hold back tears.

He thanked his parents and spent the entire day with the pony. Since then, he has ridden the animal as much as possible. The animal and the boy have formed a strong bond.

A news report of Sabastian’s hard work and happy reward then made its way onto YouTube, where it has made quite an impact.

To date, the video has gained over 400,000 views. It also has more than 4,800 likes and 300 comments. People have been saying things like this:
