Whether it’s through listening, creating, or dancing, music is a powerful force in the lives of most people.

One Voice Children’s Choir has is a community that formed around the power of music and it helps to enrich the lives of over 100 children.

One Voice Children’s Choir was created so that children can be united and empowered to create through music.

One Voice Children’s Choir’s vision statement:

“Through music, they will inspire, enrich, uplift and serve their global community, while building youth as One Voice.”

To bring their vision into reality, the choir only performs songs that are “value-oriented”.

They do it together, as one music family. Part of this means the choir does not separate the children by age. They mean it when they say ‘one voice’, every participating child has an important part in music.

It’s a big group.

In total for this song, there are eleven soloists, twenty violinists, and three dancers.

This Children’s Choir takes classic songs and reworks them in new and impressive ways. In this video, the kids sing “I Can Only Imagine” by MercyMe.

The song was a number one Christian music hit and its success even spanned into Adult Contemporary and Top 40 radio, which is quite the feat for Christian music.

The lyrics that brought this song so much success include:

The song was written by Bart Millard, lead singer of MercyMe.

“When my father passed in 1991, he left me with the assurance that he was headed to a better place. For several years following his death, I would find myself writing the phrase ‘I can only imagine’ on anything I could find. That simple phrase would give me a peace thinking about what my dad was finally experiencing,” Bart explained.

The words of this song describe Bart’s imagination of what it may be like when he meets Jesus.

“I Can Only Imagine” has touched thousands of people and made them feel understood in hard times. It contains a striking message for those who may be struggling or who’s faith needs some inspiration.

The lyrics are touching, but it’s the soothing voices of these children that bring the song to a new level.

For the YouTube video, the choir not only sang the song, but they also created their own original music video. It’s incredibly well made!

There is so much talent among this group.

Their YouTube channel has amassed over 2.1 million followers and a total of over 336 million views. That is incredibly impressive for a children’s choir from Northern Utah.

Their list of successes doesn’t end there.

One Voice Children’s Choir has performed for over 125 nations, competed on Americas Got Talent, and on the beaches of Normandy for a commemoration of D-Day. They have even sung for President Obama!
