Using harsh products to make it spotless is also not advisable because this can compromise your oven’s quality and if not fully removed, these harmful chemicals can even have bad impacts on the food you prepare.

It’s a good thing that there is an easier and safer way to clean the oven shared by Mr. Gizmo.

The way we clean our ovens will be changed by this revolutionary tip that is not only easy, but also free of harmful chemicals and products.

You can clean the oven as often as you want because the things you will need are quite accessible in the pantry.

Mr. Gizmo uploaded a tutorial on his YouTube channel wherein he shares the way he cleans his oven.

He does not use any chemicals at all. The things he grabbed from his pantry are also available in your own kitchen.

It might seem too good to be true, but he really needed only these ingredients: baking soda and vinegar.

Can it really be this easy? Mr. Gizmo shows you just how he does it.

After getting the baking soda and the vinegar, you have to prepare a small bowl, a spray bottle, and some rags.

You will also need a silicone spatula, silicone scraper, and a pair of disposable gloves to keep your hands safe.

So, how does this combination exactly work and how come it can help in cleaning your oven?

Baking soda, or sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3), can break down organic matter.

It has an abrasive nature and this helps in scrubbing off dirt, spilled juices, and crumbs from the surface of your oven without damaging the material.

When vinegar is added, the acetic acid that is found in it creates a good chemical reaction that makes the baking soda even more potent.

Acetic acid is tough on stains so when it is mixed with baking soda, the two products create a strong combination that breaks down stains, food residue, and other matters that are stuck to your oven.

The products are safe to use, even when they are combined.

Let’s begin cleaning, shall we?

First up, make sure that the oven has been unused for quite some time.

Do not clean it if you just used it, as this will potentially be the cause of accidents such as burns.

Grab your bowl and mix the baking soda with water. Once it reaches a pasty texture, get the silicon spatula and spread the mixture on the inside of your oven.

If you do not have the spatula, you can use your hands provided you are wearing protective gloves.

You can create more based on your needed quantity.

Make a mixture that would be enough to cover the space inside your oven.

Once done, you will notice that the mixture will change in color depending on the amount of stain that is found inside the oven.

This only means that your magical mixture is working!

The key to making it work properly is to learn to wait for the baking soda to really soak in the stains in the oven. Leave it for at least 12 hours before going back to remove it.

After 12 hours, grab the scraper and scrape the baking soda off.

By this time, the baking soda would be dried up and you need to use the scraper to remove it from inside the oven.

Just be patient with it, and scrape every single bit off the oven.

Once done, grab the spray bottle, put some vinegar in it and spray away. This will leave a sour smell inside the oven but this will not last.

All of these are part of the process of oven cleaning in a safe and effective way.

The vinegar will help in disinfecting the oven, too.
