Cats can definitely be a bit sneaky and smart sometimes, and that’s certainly something that applies to this white cat who lives in Mexico.

One day, a woman named Tania Sants started noticing that this feline was always hanging around the same spot – in front of a store.

It turns out that the cat’s favorite spot wasn’t a random one.

In fact, the four-footer definitely has his reasons to be there every single day.

Tania was certainly surprised when she learned why this clever cat visits this specific store on a daily basis.

One time, the woman’s curiosity got the best of her. She decided to go greet the adorable kitten and pet him, but she most definitely didn’t expect what happened next.

It looked like the feline wanted to go inside the store, and Tania was pretty intrigued and wanted to see where the cat was headed.

They ran towards a specific aisle, but then the kitty suddenly stopped dead in his path and made sure that Tania couldn’t go further anymore either.

His intent was very clear, if not a little sneaky: to make sure that the woman would notice this specific aisle of the store.

What was in the aisle in question? Cat treats, of course!

The woman couldn’t help but buy a couple of cat treats for this smart feline, and it turns out that this is his daily routine. He’s got it all figured out!

The next time that Tania visited, she didn’t find the cat outside of the store, but the four-footer was already waiting for her inside.

He was eagerly waiting for her, yep, you guessed it, in the cat aisle!

Tania wanted to know the full story and chatted with the store employees to find out what exactly was going on.

The store employees then told her that this kitten comes to the store every single day, and manages to convince a lot of people to buy him treats with his sneaky tactics.

Even though cats obviously can’t talk, this one certainly knows how to deliver a message. The staff said that the cat also leaves every single day, but they had no idea whether or not he actually had a home.

Tania just needed to know if this cute kitten had a place to call home, and decided to follow him after the store closed.

To win his trust, Tania decided to buy him some more treats that he desperately wanted, but she had a sneaky plan of her own to follow him.

It turns out that the cat kind of settled in off the road, and it confirmed the woman’s suspicion that he was a stray. This tiny place off the road was where the cat spent his nights and it was just sad to witness.

That very night, Tania decided to rescue him out of his predicament.

“I took him to my house and I adopted him,” the woman said to The Dodo.

Tania’s new furry friend definitely hasn’t had an easy life up until now, as his fur was dirty and matted, and he also lost his tail.

Luckily, he’s already doing quite well at Tania’s place, and he’s even befriended her other cat!

The woman went back to the store to let them know what happened, just in case someone came looking for her.

“They told me that no one had come looking for him,” Sants said. “They thanked me for taking him home.”

Before she left, she passed the cat treat aisle one more time.

“I bought him many treats,” she said. “He can trust that I always will.”
