College clogging champions set stage on fire with routine
It’s always exciting to see people perform clogging. Compared with tap dancing, people who perform this dance focus more on their feet to create complex rhythms. It requires precision and balance.
Tap This! is a group of dancers who excel in tap dancing.
Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, the 14-member team delivered an awesome performance when they competed in a clogging competition. Their choreography to Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk was seriously stellar.
As a 4-time national champion, the group didn’t disappoint. In fact, they left their audience on their feet and wanting to see more of their slick moves.
As soon as the group entered the stage, the crowd started cheering.
It’s like they knew they were about to see something exciting- and they were right.
The group was smiling as they got to the middle of the stage. You couldn’t see any of them feeling nervous, shaky, or worried. They looked well-prepared to set the stage on fire with their crazy dance moves.
When the music started playing, the group blew the audience away with their impressive clogging skills. Even though the song they used was fast-paced, no one missed a single step. Everyone was able to keep up with the beat and each other’s energy.
Each move was flawless and well-calculated.
Their steps were delivered perfectly with the tempo. They changed formations multiple times and did various movements executing them all without fail.
The more they moved their feet, the more excited the crowd became.
Whistles and whoops were heard in the venue. You can even hear gasps from the people who watched them.
The group’s video was so good that people on the internet went wild when they watched it.
Their performance has been viewed more than 800,000 times. The majority of people who’ve watched it have great things to say about the dancers and their moves.

About Clogging
The best thing that characterizes clogging is the sounds a dancer’s footwear makes as he percussively strikes its toe, heel, or both against the floor. It’s considered as the first form of street dance since it was started in urban environments during the period of the industrial revolution.
Clogging is different from tap dancing in a number of ways. For one, cloggers are typically more flat-footed. They dance in groups. Usually, they do line formation and dance with the same steps at the same time.
One thing is certain, though- no one can clog like these champions!
