Compassionate girl adopts deformed dog - he shows gratitude in the most adorable way

Just like people, dogs all over the world are born with deformities every day. In many cases, the poor pooches are neglected and left in shelters without homes. It takes an extra special person to see past the deformities, and give these dogs the chances they deserve.

Angela drove four hours to pick up her new dog, she knew the deformities would be a challenge, but was ready none the less

When she saw the little pooch she instantly fell in love, the dog was tiny and scared, but Angela knew she just needed a little bit of love. Angela rescues many dogs, she always tries not to get emotional at the shelter, but this one was different. She named her, Freddie Mercury, and took her to her new home wrapped in a blanket.

“I don’t get emotional when I go to shelters to pick up dogs, because I know it doesn’t help a scared dog if I’m over here crying feeling sad for her. Tonight, however, I cried for this little one.” Angela told the DoDo.

Freddie Mercury has deformed legs that make it hard for her to walk, she also has a deformed jaw and had 17 teeth removed right before Angela rescued her

Angela took Freddie Mercury home to see her new home, only then did she realize that her legs were splayed out and the dog could barely walk. Even with the deformities, the little warrior is extremely happy now. Angela even made Freddie Mercury an Instagram, and she’s quite the little star now with 294k followers.

“There are moments when I know that dogs are truly thanking me and this was absolutely one of those moments. She knows she’s safe and cared for now. This little one will medically be a challenge, but I’m here for her every step of the way.” Said Angela.

People often wonder how Angela dares to take on these special needs dogs that could pass away at any moment, the answer is simple:

“Dogs teach me to just have fun and to be in the moment. I do my best to just enjoy this time right here, right now and not worry about what happened yesterday, or what I need to do for tomorrow. Life is short, take breaks when you need it, just enjoy the moment you have.” Angela explained on The DoDo.
