Ana explains that the project will require some work but it’s quite fast and it will only cost about $10, isn’t this incredible? For this project you will need, a tape measurer, a circular saw, a power drill, a 2-foot-level, and a 22-inch euro draw slide. It’s possible that the shelves in your cabinets can be pulled out or have to be unscrewed. In the case of the face frame cabinet, you’re going need some shim material.

The first thing to be done is to measure the distance between the cabinet wall and the frame. In the case of the face frame cabinets, the shims will make up the space between the frame and the wall.

Drill in the shim with screws. Measure the width of the cabinet opening and the shelf. You have to be careful as if you don’t measure it correctly it wouldn’t fit later properly. The shelf needs to be small enough to roll out of the cabinet door. So, that means it definitely needs to be smaller than the cabinet opening.

Once you measured, saw the shelf and attach the sliders. Remember that the sliders add an extra inch to the width of the shelf, so keep this in mind before sawing. Next, you need to decide the appropriate height of your shelf. You will need to consider and visualize the products you are going to store there, before making any decisions.

As soon as you decide on the level of the shelf, screw the drawer members on the sides of the shelf and attach the wall members of the slides to the walls of the cabinet, or to the shims if you have those. Finally, screw the wheel into the marks you made before with the level.
Now you want to screw the drawer members on the sides of the width of the shelf.

Once you’ve done this, attach the wall members of the slides to the cabinet walls or shims. Be sure the wheels are facing down. Screw into the marks you made with the level.

There is only one more thing before we call our project a success, you have to attach the drawer’s members into the wall’s so that you will be able to roll out it in and out without a problem. You can add if you want a safety barrier on the drawer, adding a piece of wood, in order to keep the products from falling off the shelf as you roll it out.

The key steps on this DIY are that you have to measure everything correctly and cut everything straight, so they can fit well together like pieces of a puzzle. Believe in your crafty skills and you will definitely succeed. Good luck!
