Handsome cop-duo accepts the challenge and nail it
The Houston Police Department is always up to date when it comes to the latest news. This enables them to always be alert and ready when the time comes that someone needs their help.
Along with listening to the current news, they are also being updated with the latest trends today. From the latest songs, movies, local foods, and of course, the hottest trend when it comes to challenges.
Today, viral challenges keep us entertained and occupied, especially during the time of the pandemic. Plus, it keeps us young at heart- and besides, accepting these popular challenges is so much fun.
Good thing the ever responsible police officers of the HPD are known to be brave and will always accept challenges- even if it’s a dance challenge.
Let’s go back to a year ago when a police officer decided to upload their version of the then-popular #gitupchallenge. Many people who saw their version were amazed by how good it was, not to mention the fact they were also very handsome police officers.
The “Git-up challenge” isn’t a new one- in fact, it’s one of the most popular dance challenges to date.
And we’ve seen so many people accept this challenge already. So what’s different with these guys?
Well, first off, they are actually a very handsome cop-duo, and they look pretty cool as well.
Second, it’s always nice to see police officers take some time off from their duties to actually have some fun. Like us, they are also entitled to enjoy their free time.
Ladies, calm down. Let’s get to know them even more.
Around summer last year, Blanco Brown released his hit single “The Git Up,” which has been a huge hit. His music video alone already has 74M views, and that’s just the beginning.
The “Git up challenge” was born and the song became more popular.
The dance steps weren’t hard at all and it’s a very catchy tune as well. You might have suffered from the LSS or last song syndrome bug and may have already taken on the #GitUpChallenge.
No wonder this cop-duo accepted the challenge, too!
The man on the left is Officer John Williams, and the man on the right is none other than Officer J. Lahar, the man who uploaded the viral video.
The police officers’ dance challenge video starts with the camera focusing on the “We ♥ Houston” landmark, then the video slowly shifts, focusing on these two handsome guys.
Both of them were holding a bottle of water.
We also love how they wore their uniform proudly! What better way to accept a dance challenge than to wear your uniform, and showcase your beautiful hometown?
What we love about their version is how smooth their steps were.
They’re not too complicated, but they sure seem to enjoy what they were doing.

Aside from being dedicated police officers, they are also very chill and friendly guys that you can ask for help whenever you need to. They also contribute and volunteer to help with their hometown’s projects and so much more.
These two men aren’t just great and handsome cops, they are also model citizens.
