Mesmerizing couple steals the show dancing to ‘Cups (When I’m Gone)’
The Urban Dance Camp began as an annual international workshop 16 years ago. Since then, it has become a home for incredibly talented dancers, teachers, and choreographers. Ultimately, earning the reputation of having the best dance education program with the highest standard of teaching in the world. The annual event lets dance enthusiasts have the opportunity to showcase their skills to a like-minded group of individuals. This gathering of a wide range of talents naturally becomes a breeding ground for being inspired by the choreographies of other participants. Every year they present an incredible lineup at the annual summer camp. They are able to gather YouTube stars, dance legends, and top international choreographers from Asia, Europe, and America.
Their official YouTube channel displays a glimpse of the talented, persistent, and hardworking participants.
The collection of dance videos are impressive. Each routine has been executed with such creativity. It’s not a wonder that the camp inspires others to become exceptional choreographers themselves.
All sorts of music genres are used as audio backdrops. Check out this take on Anna Kendrick’s “Cups (When I’m Gone)” from the film “Pitch Perfect“.
Choreographers Keone and Mariel Madrid created the unique choreography. Along with dancers Fabio Carcieri, Kalila Hermant, Orlando Jehle, and Baiba Klints, the song’s story was told with their sharp and unique moves. It’s a playful dance video that had YouTube users commenting about how amazing it all was.
Keone and Mariel made it look so spontaneous. They didn’t look like they were performing a choreographed dance routine at all.
They were having so much fun. It looked like they were just going along with the lyrics.
Their chemistry on the dancefloor is undeniable.
They tell the story of the song with their moves. Even their facial expressions and gestures match the words. It’s just so entertaining to see.
Every now and then, when they touch each other’s hand or when they pull off an impressive move, they can’t help but smile.

They stay casually in position as they wait for the song to begin. These next two couples show us some moves of their own.
Their moves came out so effortlessly. And yet they were perfectly in time with each other.
Their interpretation of the song was just as fun to watch. It’s not very easy to come up with a unique routine. Let alone for a song that mostly consisted of just rhythmic tapping and vocals. These three pairs of dancers just made it work.
The Urban Dance Camp indeed has an intensive learning program just like they promised. Of course, with a lot of fun involved. These dance videos show us how working hard at something you love no matter how tough or challenging it can get can really pay off in the end.
