Couple flying home with newly adopted daughter gets impromptu baby shower

A lot of women struggle to get pregnant. Some of them have to go through series of tests and examinations just to get an idea why they can’t bear a child. There are couples who have to undergo dozens of treatments just to get a chance at getting pregnant while others have to deal with unexplained infertility.

Dustin and Caren Moore tried for nine long years to have a baby of their own.

Unfortunately, all the options they took failed. They lost multiple pregnancies despite the treatments and never got any answers why they can’t maintain them.

They decided to adopt a child.

The process wasn’t easy for them. The adoption process took months. To get certified to adopt, they had to wait for about six weeks. Meanwhile, it took them four months to actually find a baby.

Bringing home their newborn baby was one of the best days of their lives.

Like most parents, they were quite anxious, excited, and scared during the flight. Unlike before, they were traveling with a tiny human.

At first, the flight was going smoothly.

However, in the middle of the flight, their daughter started crying. Since they didn’t want to disrupt the other passengers, they went to the back of the plane to change her diaper.

There, a flight attendant named Jenny made space for them.

While watching the couple, the attendant got curious. She asked them why they decided to travel with such a young infant. The couple happily told her their adoption story.

A few minutes later, Dustin and Caren went back to their seats.

Another flight attendant named Bobby came by. He asked about their daughter and like what happened earlier, they eagerly shared the story.

Moments later, they heard the intercom switch on.

In a post, the couple shared:

“The attendant Bobby came on and announced a special guest on the flight. Our daughter. “She’s just been adopted by her parents Caren and Dustin, and is making her way home.” The entire cabin erupted in cheers and applause.”

The couple was surprised to hear the announcement.

They thought that their flight with their precious daughter was already special. However, the flight attendants had something else in mind.

The crew started handing out pens and napkins.

They asked other passengers to share a word of advice with the new parents. They instructed them to write everything down.

The attendants even read a few of the really wonderful ones over the intercom.

“Make time for date night.”

“Drink lots of wine!”

“Rub each other’s feet, and rub the baby’s feet.”

Caren and Dustin were overwhelmed with gratitude.

They received over 60 sweet messages. Aside from that, other passengers kept congratulating them throughout the flight, too. It was such a memorable trip for the two.

The pair got curious why the attendants did such an unexpected deed.

Turns out that Jenny and Bobby were actually married. When they were on their honeymoon flight, the attendants did a similar thing for them. They wanted to pay that deed forward.

Dustin shared their story on his Twitter account.

In the post, he said:

“This website is used oft as a means to share what’s wrong. I hope you’ll take time to share what is good. In a world of turmoil, don’t forget to showcase the Bobby’s and Jenny’s, the kind strangers out there. And if they don’t cross your path, be one. Seek good, or create it.”
