A couple who do things together stay together and that includes getting a makeover together.

Jane and her husband have been married for “33 glorious years.” And before that, they were together for four years so it’s been 37 years of being together as a happy couple.

Her husband said that, when he was in high school, he liked older girls but they wouldn’t take him seriously. So he started to propose to the girls he liked.

“What eighth grade who proposes is not serious?” he said. “So I tell the story that Jane isn’t the first person I proposed to but she is the first person I proposed to [who] did not say no.”

He said she remembers she said he was crazy.

“I thought he was really cute and nice but just really immature,” Jane said.

And when her husband asked her what she thinks now, she says he’s still immature.

They met when they were still in high school but Jane was two years older. But it wasn’t until Jane was in her freshman year at college that they finally got together.

The Makeover Guy team asked Jane what look she’s looking for in her husband’s makeover.

“I don’t want him to look too good. Because then he’ll get a big head,” Jane joked.

And when they finally saw each other’s makeovers, they were stunned.

“I think he looks fabulous. I told him he can be on GQ,” Jane said.

Jane continued to gush about her husband’s new look and prompted him to joke that they got to go.

He may still be “immature” but he sure can make Jane laugh hard.

“She’s beautiful, isn’t she?” her husband said when asked what he thought of her new look. “I believe my wife is beautiful. She always has been on the inside but today, her outer beauty is shining through.”

They didn’t have a lot of plans for the evening. But their new looks needed to be shown the town. And so they made n impromptu date to enjoy and show off their new looks.

Makeover Guy is Christopher Hopkins and he has been transforming his clients’ looks since 1990.

His first salon, the Christopher Hopkins Salon, was set up inside Hubbard Broadcasting and was awarded Modern Salon of the Year. This was also the start of his makeover sessions when he appeared regularly on the local morning show, “Good Company.”

He also appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” to give styling tips and created anti-aging makeovers.

In 2008, he wrote his best-selling book, “Staging Your Comeback,” all about how to look good and feel great. More than a decade since its initial release, it still remains a best-seller.

Because of the success of his book, he launched makeover videos on his YouTube channel.

And on 2017, he opened the Makeover Guy Appearance Studios by the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Since then, he has given makeovers to thousands of people from Minnesota, all over the US, and from other countries.

Since he began his styling and beauty makeover career, Christopher has dedicated himself to transforming the looks and lives of women in the second chapters of their lives.
