Guests tear up as bride and groom execute mesmerizing waltz to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect”

A couple’s first dance at their wedding is often a great photo op, but it tends to get boring pretty quickly too. But rather than just shortening the dance or forgoing the tradition altogether, more and more couples are trying to make it the most memorable part of their reception.

From flash mobs to sophisticated choreography, gone are the days when you could simply bust out your best middle school slow dance moves to Etta James’ “At Last.” Even dragging the groom-to-be to a month’s worth of ballroom classes seems to have been ditched in favor of something with a little more flavor.

Take Kasia and Dominik, for example. Their decadent 2018 wedding included a first dance that required a choreographer and a videographer. But this was once dance that deserved to be remembered – and since it was uploaded on the Raven Vision YouTube channel in June of 2019, it’s been viewed over 2.5 million times!

No doubt couples are getting some inspiration from their glamorous performance.

It all begins with a ceremonial “coming together” of the bride and groom as they join hands and begin to dance.

Surrounded by family and friends, they execute a few turns.

And even the most well-planned wedding clearly has its fair share of people ruining the shot by coming in late and getting caught in the background!

Their Cinderella moment is also enhanced (although some commenters claimed it was ruined) by a guy running around with a smoke machine. It’s equal parts magical and silly.

See? Magical:

To be fair, both the bride and groom are very elegant dancers and the song they chose, Ed Sheeran’s 2017 hit “Perfect,” is just that.

And rather than surprise everyone with some unconventional moves, the dance remains very traditional except for a few lifts.

Neither of them looks awkward or like they’re waiting for it to be over – they’re both performing for their guests and (appear to be) truly enjoying themselves on the dance floor.

Frankly, we love the view of the couple in front of their guests instead of the door that latecomers keep coming through (can someone lock that thing?).

Then again, we’re not cinematographers, so what do we know?

The couple executes a spin and lift that draws a cheer from their guests, but that smoke machine guy is still clearly getting the most exercise as he runs around the couple and makes a dozen cameos at just the wrong time.

A word to the wise – maybe just get a stationary smoke machine or two if you don’t want people distracted by this:

But the most important part is that the couple looks madly in love as they sweep around the floor in what appears to be predominantly a waltz.

We’re giving Kasia extra points for looking like the fairest of princesses at a royal ball during her dance. And, of course, Dominik gets props as well for taking this all very seriously and nailing each and every move. The guests are, of course, charmed and even mesmerized by the beautiful show.

The bride and groom even pull off two more lifts, showing they’re not only pretty athletic, but strong and balanced as well.

Something tells us this isn’t their first time on the dance floor, although we don’t know if either has a background in dance.

As the song winds down, the guests give them a big cheer – and they deserve it.
