Boy shows up everyone else at the party with his amazing booty-shaking moves

First of all, it’s “Tootsee Roll,” not “Tootsie Roll” – because we’re not talking about candy here.

The song, first released in 1994 by the rap group 69 Boyz sold a million copies – and yet it’s one you probably have to hear in order to remember.

It also came with its own dance – and if you’d like to learn it while being told every few seconds that it being a hit from 1994 makes it “old school,” there’s an instructional video online here.

Like “The Git Up,” “Cupid Shuffle,” and even “The Hokey Pokey,” “Tootsee Roll” has all of the dance moves you need right in the lyrics!

To the left, to the left, to the right, to the right
To the front, to the front, to the back, to the back
Now slide, slide, baby, slide, just slide, baby, slide, baby, slide, c’mon c’mon
To the left, to the left, to the right, to the right
To the front, to the front, to the back, to the back
Now dip, baby, dip, come on dip, baby, dip
Dip, baby, dip, just dip, baby dip

Pretty challenging stuff.

But the trick is putting in the sass and not just the moves. And that’s why a video of a little boy dressed in cowboy garb dancing at a kid’s party has over 1 million views in the last year alone.

It’s unclear where this is all taking place (though not in the U.S. judging by the way the phone number on the awning is formatted), but it hardly matters.

It’s all about the groove and being put to shame by someone who is clearly under the age of 10 (and wasn’t even a glimmer in his parents’ eyes when the song came out).

Whether or not “Tootsee Roll” is actually the song playing at the party is unclear since it sounds like the audio was added in later, but what people are really looking at are the smooth moves.

“Everybody stand back, Homeboy about to get the party STARTED!” said one commenter.

Normally, moves like that will clear a dance floor pretty quickly. How can anyone compete?

But everyone continues dancing, many sadly unaware they’re being put to shame by the shimmying of a child.

You either got it, or you don’t. Can’t be taught,” claimed one commenter.

And we have to agree. We don’t know where he’s seen it or whether he’s practiced or even whether he knows how fly he looks shaking his groove thing, but this kid has some serious talent.

But the moves indicate to us that he’s getting on his Latin dance and not the “Tootsee Roll” – yet more evidence that the song was added later.

While it may be a little weird watching a kid swivel his hips, one can only marvel in appreciation as he leaves his partner in the dust.

“His dance partner is doing the 2 step & he’s doing the 18 step,” joked a viewer.

But she’s clearly having fun – and she’s with the smoothest dancer out there.

By the end, it looks like a few kids are watching in appreciation (or, more likely, jealousy) and no doubt taking notes.

But can this kind of passion really be replicated?
