With weddings come many traditions. There is the bridal party, the groom party, the reception, the vows, the music selection, the food and drink, the something blue… And of course, one of the most important traditions of all: the wedding dress.

The wedding dress is such a sacred and important element for every bride. That’s why shows, like Say Yes To The Dress exist, because shopping for the big white gown is not an easy feat.

It is something that a lot of girls dream about from a young age. And it is a decision that you really have to feel good about. The moment that you put on the perfect dress also tends to be pretty magical, too.

Here’s the thing, though: wedding dresses are usually white. Sure, you can play around with the shape and fabric of the dress but it is usually a given that it is white.

That was the case until artist Taylor Ann came along and decided to flip that idea on its head.

Ann is a creative person who actually paints on wedding gowns, turning each white dress into a custom wash of bright colors. Each dress is different but they are all equally beautiful.

Ann had always dreamed of being an artist and finally, her moment had arrived after her “fire wedding dress” went viral.

A few months before her very own wedding, Ann found her dress, “Savoy’s Bellezza.” Excpet she decided that she did not want a typical white dress. Instead, she would end up painting it and customizing it to be the exact color she wanted.

It wasn’t an easy or short process, but it proved to be worth it, after painting the dress with an airbrush.

From there, it was pretty much smooth sailing. The dress came out beautiful and they had a beautiful ceremony. Then when photos of the big day hit the internet, it went viral. She was not credited but thankfully, people were still able to find Ann and her work.

“The art of painting wedding dresses started when my dress went viral. I’ve always been a very colorful artist. So I got to experimenting and brainstorming how to incorporate my passion for art and color into my wedding,” Ann told Bored Panda.

Since then, several other brides-to-be have come to Taylor asking to help with their dresses. So she obliged and that soon led to her starting her brand-new wedding dress painting business, called Canvas Bridal.

She even rented out a studio where she could work on everyone’s gowns, turning each blank canvas into a beautiful rainbow of color.

She had always dreamed of being an artist and now her dreams have finally come true! The best part is that this form of creation is so unique, there certainly aren’t a ton of people out there doing something as cool as this!
