Dumb criminal decides to break into house where 2 German shepherds live
When you need a dog that’ll protect you with its life, few dogs make as good a choice as the German Shepherd. Any home intruder who spots a German Shepherd guarding your home should think twice.
And this home intruder quickly learned why German Shepherds are the guard dogs.
The video isn’t too long – just about a minute and a half. But it’s more than enough to show what a protective, fearsome guard dog is capable of.
We watch the whole scene from a CCTV camera atop this person’s home. The scene is of a yard with light fencing and a small lawn. An intruder has climbed over the fence thinking they could just show themselves inside.
The fencing was very light, so this intruder might not have had too much trouble getting in.
Though now they’ve made a problem for themselves. They’re now fenced in with the homeowner’s two very angry, very protective German Shepherds.
In fact, it takes no more than a second or two for both dogs to come running out and begin attacking the intruder.
It’s difficult to see clearly since CCTVs don’t exactly film in high-definition.
But you don’t need to see every fine detail to know what’s happening. We can clearly make out the screaming of the intruder while the two dogs gnash and bite at him. He’s bitten off more than he can chew, whereas the dogs could bite off a lot more of him if he doesn’t leave.
The homeowner comes out – but notice how slowly he walks.
He sees his two dogs have the situation under control, and he’s confident no harm will come to him.
I suppose that speaks volumes about the capabilities of the German Shepherd.
“Help!” “Ow! Ouch,” the intruder screams. It’s hard to feel sorry for him since he brought this on himself. When you develop a habit of breaking into homes, eventually, you’ll trespass into the wrong home.
He screams in pain as the two dogs bite at him defensively. The homeowner yells at him to get out of here, still keeping calm knowing his two Shepherds are there with him.
The intruder makes a beeline for an opening in the fence and runs out, taking refuge on top of the homeowner’s car parked outside.
He’s pretty winded and hurt.
According to a biomechanical study, German Shepherds have a bit force of at least 1,000 Newtons even when not giving it all they’ve got. That is more than enough to leave some nasty wounds on a person. Now imagine having two of them biting at you.
Hurt and defeated, the intruder picks up his breath and leaves.
That fence is awfully thin, and the dogs might just be able to break through. He’s not going to stick around to find out. Meanwhile, the homeowner is completely unhurt, thanks to his two loyal German Shepherds.
I hope he gave them all the treats and pets they deserved that day.
