Elephants are astonishing animals. No mammal has the physique or nose quite like an elephant. Elephants are one of the largest land animals and they can lift over 700 pounds with their remarkable trunks.

An elephant trunk has several different functions, it’s a nose, upper lip, and arm all in one. A trunk even has built-in snorkel!

When you’re born with such a large appendage like a trunk it might take a lot of getting used to. Baby elephants go through plenty of trial and error with their gifted nose. Baby elephants even suck on their trunks just like human babies do with their thumb. Now, how wild is that!?

These adorable animals learn about their trunks as they grow up, but they certainly trip all over them through the process.

Although elephants can weigh up to 7 tons they are a very gentle species. Adolescent elephants are full of fascination and in this video, you can definitely see just how interested these animals are.

Can you imagine sitting in a field of baby elephants?

To some, that seems like some sort of pipe dream. But this woman got to experience the ultimate interaction with these sweet animals.

This woman found herself sitting in an open field surrounded by baby elephants.

When the elephants noticed someone hanging out in their playground they were filled with fascination. “What is this creature?” they thought. The woman sat still while these baby elephants rubbed their trunks all over her.

The one baby elephant couldn’t get over the fact that this new creature didn’t have a nose just like them.

The baby elephant pats his trunk all over her nose and face. The woman continued to stay still and smiled with joy. She looked like she was having a blast hanging out with these beautiful animals. It’s hard not to laugh while having your face massaged by baby elephants that’s for sure!

It looks as if these baby elephants were doing some serious research on this human’s face.

The curiosity that this baby elephant has is quite adorable. I’m sure it’s brain-boggling for animals to have humans in their terrain. Thank goodness these baby elephants did not pose as any threat to this joyful woman.

She actually couldn’t have been more relaxed in such a bizarre situation.

While the baby elephant continued to inspect the new guest his ears flapped away with discovery. To have such a close encounter with a youthful elephant is one this woman will probably never forget. A moment where a human and elephant get to know each other is something for the memory books.

These baby elephants truly stole our hearts with such a silly interaction.

The more humans connect with elephants in this loving way could maybe even save them from poaching. You can just tell how sweet these precious animals are. Baby elephants sure are curious about why we don’t have cool trunks just like them. You really won’t want to miss this adorable experience!
