Cut slit into a tortilla and add your favorite ingredients for a delicious “revolutionary” wrap

Juggling work, friends, family, and fitness can be pretty tight, most especially when one of the most important parts of being healthy is eating healthy.

Oftentimes, we find ourselves struggling to prepare nutritious and filling meals.

And so, a lot of us resort to eating pre-packaged ones that are usually processed and high in sugar or sodium. But with the requirements of a proper meal, do we really have the time to make them?

Pilates instructor and fitness personality Cassey Ho shared a TikTok video on how to create quick tortilla wraps sandwiches.

This technique is so easy, you’d slap your forehead thinking why you didn’t figure it out the first time.

In the video, she takes out a tortilla along with other ingredients to make her tortilla wrap.

She cuts a slit from the center, then towards the edge of the tortilla.

Then, she topped each quarter with different fillings. In the video, she used tomatoes, avocados, caramelized onions, and some kind of protein that we thought was turkey bacon.

Then, she folds the quarters over the other until she creates a tortilla sandwich with four layers.

The way the fillings were held together and in place makes this technique a sure win for those who eat their meals on the go.

Lastly, and we think it’s optional, she toasted her tortilla in a waffle maker.

As she said, you can toast it over a pan or in a panini press.

The result is a delectable mouthful of crunch and a mix of healthy flavors to make sure you’re fueled up for the next workout session.

Easy, quick, flavorful, and convenient – that trick is a winner in anyone’s playbook!

Cassey Ho is an award-winning fitness instructor who’s better known for her signature fitness program POP Pilates. She has also launched a mobile app BODY by Blogilates and the activewear brand POPFLEX where she serves as the CEO and lead designer.

In her blog, she dedicates an entire section to delicious food.

It’s all the good flavors but minus the guilt.

While all of them are healthy, some of them are as convenient as the “revolutionary” tortilla wrap.

These recipes include a peanut butter mug muffin which she personally created, a blue chia pudding recipe for that quick but nutritious breakfast, and her cinnamon roll baked oats for when that sweet tooth comes in.

It’s good to know that while we’re figuring out how to create a healthier diet, a lot of fitness personalities are more than willing to share their food habits and food hacks that you can easily fit into your workout schedule.

Meanwhile, food channel Tasty also shared its own take on the tortilla hack.

They showed different fillings, ranging from savory meals to sweet treats. Cinnamon wraps, peanut butter, and jelly wraps, and s’mores make up their dessert section.

They also tried it in different “regional” cuisines, like an Italian pizza tortilla, strawberry and banana French crepe, and a Japanese onigiri that used a sheet of nori to replace the tortilla.
