Weimaraners are big dogs that are active, intelligent, and have this “It’s all about ME” attitude. They have amazing stamina and require a lot of exercise, plus, they should have an outlet for their almost unlimited stores of energy.

Not everyone can handle this breed of dog but if you have chosen one to be your beloved pet, then, you’ve made a wonderful choice!

Meet this handsome Weimaraner named Gus. He is a rescue pup and has been living it up with his beautiful family.

YouTube account TheBinghamHouse uploaded a video last September 25, 2012 with the title “Don’t Ignore a Weimaraner – Funny!”

This video already has more than 9M views and people are still sharing this hilarious encounter between a Gus and his dad.

Gus loves attention and he’s willing to wait just to get it.

Isn’t he adorable? For this type of breed, Gus’ patience is already amazing!

According to WCA or Weimaraner Club of America:”

“They love the company of humans to the point that they will follow you around your house like a second shadow. Weimaraners are always underfoot, curious, wanting to be involved in your activities.”

Gus’ owner loves to play games with his dog.

So, one day, he wanted to play a little prank on the unsuspecting doggo. He wanted to see what Gus’ reaction would be if he pretended to ignore him.

At first, you can clearly see that Gus isn’t happy with what’s happening. He’s already standing using his back legs and his two front legs are resting on his owner’s lap. Why aren’t the belly scratches happening?

The adorable dog wants love, and he’s not getting it…

Gus’ owner does look at him from time to time but then ignores him!

Oh boy! Gus is confused now. What’s happening?

He then tries to put one of his paws on his dad’s shoulder, as if saying:

“Dad! Can you see me now?”

Unfortunately, his owner just looks like him and then ignores him again.

What would a smart doggo do in this type of situation?

Gus tries to give dad a taste of his own medicine and ignores him right back. He looks at him and then turns his head away.

“See how you like that, Dad!”

Unfortunately, Gus can’t do this for very long and eventually gives in. He’s getting a little bit impatient now. He needs his love!

Then he tries a new way to get his dad’s attention; he “barks” at him in varying degrees and it’s too funny!

Again, his efforts fail. He gives up.

Gus then looks at his mom who’s filming the whole scene. He has a new plan!

If he can’t get his daddy’s attention, then it’s time to try his good looks and charisma out on mom!

We can hear her say:

“Do you want food? Are you hungry? What do you want? Go get your dish.”

Gus shows that he does want food but even when asked to get his bowl, he doesn’t do it.

He gives his mom the cutest look! Those adorable big eyes say it all.

He wants mommy to give him some loving and some good food. He has grown tired of trying to get daddy’s attention!

We’re all hoping that he gets an extra bowl of kisses and treats after this prank!
