For some people, the most rewarding part of the day is when you come home from work and your family is so happy to see you. This dad is one of them.

At seven months of age, the twin girls Anabel and Lydia had started to work out the world around them. They were sitting up on their own and playing like all babies do.

Anabel and Lydia had also started to notice certain patterns. For instance, their dad appeared to come home at a certain time of the day most evenings. And they could tell, because the dogs would always go crazy just before he arrived.

One day, the twins’ mom decided to record the moment when her husband came home.

The video began with the dogs yapping. The twins look on with concern. Could it be that daddy’s home?

Then their dad walked through the door and said “Hi.” Anabel broke out into a huge smile and looked up at her father.

Lydia smiled a little more slowly, but pretty soon, the babies were both giving their biggest, gummiest smiles.

When the dad said hi to the babies personally, they both started dancing back and forth with excitement.

The twins’ mom, Maritza, then uploaded this footage onto YouTube, where it soon went viral. To date, the video has gained over 7.6 million views. It also has more than 15,000 likes.

The twins really are some lucky girls. They are growing up in a loving home with two parents who are giving them everything they need.

For instance, when the girls turned one, they were given two birthday celebrations on separate days. On their official birthday, the girls went for a swim in a big girl pool and had a little party at home. A couple of days later, they had an even bigger celebration at the local park.

And the girls’ dad has remained an attentive and loving figure in their lives.

The dad even taught them how to play the guitar and learn songs the second they were old enough. The twins clearly love playing music with their father.

Amazingly, the girls will be 10-years-old in 2020. They are fast turning into confident and smart young people. In March, 2020, the girls both got their own hamsters, Mr. Cheeto and Mr. Dorito.

The girls have changed a lot over the years. They may not get as excited every time that their dad comes home from work, but they still love him just as much!

Anabel and Lydia are on the cusp of becoming teenagers. Anyone who has ever seen their angelic children turn into monstrous teens knows that the girls’ parents are in for a shock.

For a couple of years, the mom and dad probably won’t believe that their girls were ever the babies who looked so happy when their dad came home from work. It’s something that all parents have to go through. But in the end, Anabel and Lydia will become responsible and caring adults. It’s just that getting there can be hard!
