This dad proves he's got serious dance moves at his daughter's wedding
When we think of dads, we don’t typically think, “Yeah, very cool people.” They are usually known for just generally being somewhat responsible and telling “dad jokes.” But every now and then, they surprise us.
This dad definitely surprised us… A lot. When at his daughter’s wedding, he was asked to do something a little special. Well, he definitely did pull out all of the special stops for his little girl, Khalehla.
The time finally came for the traditional daddy-daughter dance at the Australian wedding in 2018. As you would expect, it started out very traditional, with the father and his daughter gently and swaying to a sweet song. They both look extremely happy as the spin around and smile.
At this point, Khalehla has no idea what is about to happen.
Her father twirls her around a few more times and then suddenly, around the 1:35 minute mark, a massive change occurs.
The sentimental music stops and Khalehla throws her arms up in the air. Naturally, she is confused and a little irritated. She still has no idea what is happening.
All of a sudden, “Every Day I’m Shuffling” by LMFAO starts to play. The daughter’s frown immediately lifts into a smile and without even thinking, she starts to shuffle alongside her hilarious father who is also clearly loving every second of this surprise.
All of their friends and family cheer them on and laugh and clap as they watch the hilarious dance go down. Well, now, it’s more like a performance than just your typical daddy-daughter dance.
Then her father does some moves and has her copy them, like the wave. A classic dad move.
Afterward, the popular song “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen comes on. Now it seems like Khalehla is actually in on the joke as the two move in perfect unison.
The dance moves are nothing too crazy or complex, but they are just enough to get the crowd going.
Khalehla is having the time of her life as she laughs in between each move and looks to her dad who is following along.
“Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” by the iconic Beyoncé comes on next, so they obviously bring out their best Queen Bey-inspired dance moves. They lift up their hands and swing back and forth which feels extra fitting, considering she just got married!
A bunch of other songs are featured in the dance: “Grease Lightning” by John Travolta, “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” by Silentó, and “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins.
If anything, you can’t say this family doesn’t have great taste and an even better sense of humor!
The best part is that the father stays committed throughout the entire performance. Now that is dedication you can count on!
We only wish that this was our family too! They must be so fun to hang out with if they are the kind of people who do this at a wedding!
