2020 has been a year of epic proportions.

Unfortunately, it hasn’t been the epic we all had in mind. With the sweep of the pandemic, we’ve all had to face what the ‘new normal’ looks like. For many, that’s meant working from home and staying indoors as much as possible. Depending on your job’s requirements, perhaps this transition was an easy one. Maybe even as easy as picking up your laptop. For others, acclimating has presented a fresh set of unique challenges.

Take news anchors and reporters, for example.

In their line of work, they’re used to a specialized environment finely tailored to daily production. Lights, cameras, action! With a studio and proper equipment, they are easily able to generate journalism and news every day. But when the world turned to work from home, they couldn’t just pack up their studios and go. Instead, they had to troubleshoot and navigate this new landscape while still effectively bringing us the news.

And this new landscape hasn’t been without some outright hilarious results!

For this home-bound weatherman, his kids just couldn’t wait for their big breaks on television! You can’t control kids and you never know what’s next. Lily and her sister decided to crash the party while their dad was in the middle of giving the weather.

Every time meteorologist Scott Connel in St. Louis tried to get the perfect take, his dog Maple intervened with the perfect bark. It’s almost as if she knew exactly when to do it! His impressive eye-roll speaks for itself!

Doggy Daycare

Brody the golden retriever was so inspired by his father’s work that he decided he wanted to learn it, right on camera! The weather report can wait! Or can it? In the middle of the report, he jumped up, hitting buttons on the controller.

Classic Dad Joke

Except this wasn’t a joke at all! When Jessica Lang, a reporter from Sarasota, Florida, went to work from home she recruited the help of her parents. Her mother dutifully helped her behind the camera, while her dad…put on his shirt? This mishap is just hilarious.

The Nudes at Nine

For one newscaster, not only was he live on air, he also simultaneously aired his dirty laundry! It appears he had a friend over that day, and clothing was optional.

Lowering The Ears

This lady decided to film a special tutorial video from her bathroom on how to give yourself a quarantine haircut. However, she was completely oblivious to the fact that the camera caught her husband showering on film! Viewers came for the haircut tips, and stayed for the nudes.

Pants(less) Party

On the outside, Will Reeves was completely ready for the workday. He had his suit, he had his jacket, and he had his tie. But the camera doesn’t lie, and the angle made sure to expose the fact that he wasn’t wearing any pants.

And while this hilarious reel counts as bloopers, can we really blame anyone? This year has been a period of great adjustments, some that may never be fully made. While we can’t always wear pants at home, we can all agree that the rules have changed in these unprecedented times.
