As a parent, you know the obstacles of moody children all too well. Whether it’s a temper tantrum or simply not wanting to eat their vegetables, there’s always a challenge.

But the trick is to remain calm no matter how stubborn your little one might be behaving. After all, it’s what comes with being a parent. Still, there are those who exercise impressive restraint when it comes to their children’s misbehavior.

It’s one thing to show restraint in the public eye and a whole other type of restraint when nobody is watching. That’s what makes this viral video even more profound.

One father in Quebec, Canada is showing the world true patience after his two-year-old daughter, Juliette, refuses to walk from their car and into the house after being picked up from kindergarten.

To give the video a bit more context, this all occurred after the father left work for the day. Thus, he was likely tired and ready to just go home and relax. If so, he wasn’t going to let his daughter’s small act of defiance deter him.

From the looks of it, the father stopped somewhere for groceries. When he gets out, he grabs a few plastic bags that appear to be full of items from a store. Perhaps, little Juliette couldn’t get what she wanted and decided to make things difficult for her father when they came home.

If this is the case, it wouldn’t be the first! After all, they call it “terrible twos” for a reason!

It also looks like it might be chilly outside. Juliette is wearing a thick jacket and boots while her father is wearing one as well. But alas, protest knows no limitations!

While laying on the ground, Juliette restlessly moves her legs. Clearly, she’s itching to walk but is set on teaching her father a lesson. But as restless as she may be, she isn’t going to give in.

It doesn’t take her father long before retrieving all of the groceries. Things become wildly hilarious when, after closing the car door and a handful of bags, he nonchalantly walks over to his daughter and casually picks her up with his free hand.

While it isn’t clear if she has done this before, her father doesn’t seem the least bit surprised or even bothered by her antics. Even as he strolls to the door, he remains as cool as a cucumber.

Juliette’s mom records the interaction and can be heard giggling as they approach the door.

In the video posted on YouTube, she describes the type of girl Juliette is.

“She is a little girl who loves to laugh and make other laughs.”

She continues, “She often does stuff like this and this is just how we love her.”

Many of the viewers of the video chimed in with their thoughts of the video as well.

“It seems like they’ve done that before, that’s their game.”

“That’s how Thanos picked up Thor in infinity war.”

“Wow dad is tooooo calm lol. This is what I call motivation.”
