Dad refuses bite of his sandwich to Great Danes and gets hit with hilarious temper tantrum

This Great Dane wants a bit of his dad’s sandwich, and he got pretty upset when his request was declined. Dinky the Great Dane just had lunch and didn’t finish it. So why’s he asking for his dad’s food?

Ron Cameron wants to sit down and enjoy his delectable sandwich. His dogs, though, want some of it too.

In particular, Dinky the male Great Dane won’t leave him alone over it.

He jokingly pretends to call him “Linda”, presumably to sound like he’s arguing with his wife.

With the sandwich in his hands, Ron attempts to reason with Dinky. Meanwhile, Dinky just drowns him out with mumbles and whatever else these sounds are called.

Dinky really wants that sandwich.

Try as Ron might, he just can’t seem to get the point across. I guess a Great Dane’s appetite is just as great as the dog, no?

“You didn’t even eat your food!” Ron explains to Dinky.

The Great Dane isn’t too unlike an actual child. They won’t touch what’s on their plate before asking for something tastier. He’s asking for Ron’s food, no less.

“I love you but this is mine” – Ron says to Dinky.

“No this is mine. You had yours!”, he continues.

The words go through one ear and out the other. Dinky wants that sandwich, and he wants it badly. Looks like he’s not leaving till he gets a bite.

Whimper, after mumble, after whimper, after howl- Dinky isn’t keeping quiet. That piece of meat between two slices of bread is too good-looking to him.

Great Danes were bred by Germans to play the role of a boarhound. If that’s the case, I wonder if that sandwich Ron’s eating is ham (or bacon, even). It would explain a lot.

He grumbles and howls some more, thinking it’ll get him closer to eating it.

“Now you want mine?” Ron asks Dinky. It’s a wonder how this Great Dane grew so big being this picky of an eater. Was he just eating sandwiches and table food this whole time?

Having a picky eater in the house is already a hassle on its own. Now imagine if that picky eater were a very large dog with an appetite bigger than a person’s.

Let’s just say, keep your eyes on your pizzas and sandwiches at all times.

Ron’s other Great Dane, Romeo, seems to want some too. Now, Ron’s got to eat his sandwich while two massive dogs beg him for a bite. Some of the comments on the video make it even funnier.

“After listening carefully to both sides, I have to say that the dog does bring up some good points.”

“It doesn’t matter how big the bite is, as long as they feel like they are included in your sandwich experience.”

Seeing how much a single “bite” from a Great Dane amounts to, I can see why Ron isn’t sharing.

A full meal for him would be a bite or two for someone like Romeo or Dinky. Does he go through this every time he makes himself a snack?

About 7 million people have viewed Dinky’s 2 and a half minutes of begging for Ron’s sandwich. It is pretty entertaining, so I encourage you to watch it too.
