“Oh, my! In just a few months I’m going to be a dad and I have no idea how to do it!” Does that sound like something you’ve said or heard before?

Well, it is only normal for new parents or parents-to-be to stress out about everything that comes with the new family member, especially if they haven’t had any prior experience with children.

But a guy from Auckland, New Zealand, decided to help a few years ago, and since then he’s become famous on the Internet.

Jordan Watson, a young dad of three, created his first how-to-dad video five years ago, when he was home alone with his 18-month old daughter, Alba. A colleague of his was to be a father soon, so Watson thought he’d make a funny video for him.

That’s how “How to hold a baby” was created. Watson posted the comic video on Facebook and tagged his friend, thinking that he’d watch it and he’d like it. But the next day he realized his video had already gone viral! And that’s how the idea of creating a YouTube channel about “dadding” was born.

Today, Watson is still running his channel with the help of his daughters, and he has also written a book on the same subject.

One of his latest videos is “How to teach a toddler to sing”, in which Watson teaches his two-year-old daughter the “fundamentals” of music, while he also introduces her to some of the most prominent music genres.

In the video, daddy and daughter are sitting one opposite the other and Watson starts by explaining what they are going to do next. The little blonde angel agrees and looks ready to follow her dad’s instructions.

The man then begins with “ah” sounds in different tones that the toddler easily mimics. Then, he moves on to different kinds of music, from pop to country, and the little girl imitates the sounds perfectly. Well, when lyrics are involved, it becomes gibberish in the toddler’s version, but- who cares! Her sound and tone imitations are spot-on!

But the funniest of them all is when Watson tries to teach her how death metal sounds. The sweet girl is literally a natural!

“Actually baby’s death metal was stronger than dad’s,” as someone commented below the video.

When the singing is done, daddy and daughter give a high-five and Watson comments about how he’s now waiting for Simon Cowell to give her a deal. The video ends with the girl’s sweet “bye” that melts hearts!

As Watson has explained in the past, his videos are not scripted, nor has he trained his daughters. He has no idea what will make a viral video, but he just goes with what he thinks is funny.

“Every parent can kind of relate, and there’s so many people out there who’re aunties, uncles, they look after people’s kids… It’s just everyday scenarios with kids which has given me the inspiration for it,” he says.

We just loved this short training video and we are convinced that the little girl is a natural musical talent that shouldn’t go unnoticed!

We can’t wait for more videos of them!
