Dance teacher's adorable baby busts moves to Beyoncé and scores 27.2M views
When a great song comes on and you are in the comfort of your own home, it can be hard not to dance. We all know that feeling of just being overwhelmed with emotion — whether it is happiness, nostalgia, etc — and just having your body take over! Dancing is so powerful and can be so cathartic, even if there is no real emotion behind it and you just love to dance.
You know the phrase, “Dance like nobody is watching”? Well, that was perfectly put into action by this little guy, named Hunter, when one of Beyoncé’s hits, “Get Me Bodied,” came on.
That phrase is a particularly important phrase because it describes a certain way you can dance. You dance as if you do not have a care in the world, like nothing is stopping you. There is no shame, no matter how strange or wild the moves are. You just dance because it feels good. You dance for yourself.
It is a hard thing to do, and we wish more adults were capable of having this mentality! Luckily, for children though, they seem to do pretty much everything as if no one is watching. They have no filter and it leads to some pretty great performances.
Hunter’s mother is actually a dance instructor, so he has been around dance for a good portion of his life.
He is used to hearing the same songs and watching the same moves, so sometimes he tries it out for himself. After all, when you grow up around it, it just becomes a natural part of you.
“It was so cute how Hunter, at only 18 months, would stay super still during the slow part of the song and start ‘dancing’ when the music picked up,” Hunter’s mother wrote.
He clearly had a basic understanding of dancing and choreographing moves. The child had rhythm!
Hunter whips out these dance moves in the comfort of his own home, but he also eventually started performing for crowds. I mean, wasn’t that inevitable?
The best part though is that this video clip was uploaded to YouTube and now this little dance from Hunter will live on forever and ever.
“At our small studio recital we put him on stage and played the music to see what he would do…and he didn’t disappoint! He is now almost ten, so he has grown up quite a bit, so we are glad we shared this memory on Youtube for our friends and family to see,” Hunter’s mother continued.
Cut to Hunter being on stage and winning over an entire crowd!
The crowd was going wild, loudly applauding the little guy as he just, once again, danced like nobody was watching. He was just feeling himself the whole time, letting his body — and Queen Bey’s amazing voice — take over the show. It came so naturally to him!
We think Hunter is going to grow up to be one of the best dancers ever! Thanks for spreading joy through your moves.
