Deer brings her fawns to meet Golden Retriever she’s been best friends with for over 11 years

We all need a best friend, someone who is always there for us and would treat us like family.

Even in the wild, friendships form.

Seeing different species of animals being friends is one of the wonders of nature that will make you believe in magic.

Even though they come from different species, the level of love, understanding, and care that they have for each other is just beautiful.

The friendship of Buttons, the deer, and G-Bro, the Golden Retriever is one good example.

These two have been together 11 years.

G-Bro’s owners had a friend who had raised a deer. The rescuers called their friend to let them know that a poor mama deer got hit by a car.

She left a baby deer that needed care.

That’s how they adopted Buttons.

The goal was to raise Buttons, but also to give her the chance to be in the wild. Though challenging, they did a good job raising little Buttons.

Of course, it would be impossible without the help of their Golden Retriever puppy, G-Bro.

They reached milestones together.

The unlikely best friends would play in the snow, go hiking, and groom each other.

Buttons is free to roam and visit G-Bro whenever she wants to. She will just be at the door, which means she misses G-Bro.

She will paw at the door if mom and dad aren’t answering. Buttons is a smart girl, after all.

They would hang out for hours.

G-Bro loves all the attention he gets from Buttons. He would lay there and savor the moments as Buttons grooms him.

Buttons and G-Bro are family.

One day, Buttons went in front of G-Bro’s home.

It was different this time because this beautiful deer was now a mother.

It wasn’t just her at the front door.

She brought her children.

Just like family, Buttons brought her babies to see their uncle G-Bro.

The little fawns welcomed their dog uncle, and G-Bro did the same.

G-Bro’s owners told The Dodo that they were all so excited when they saw Buttons’ babies.

They were beautiful.

Their home was full of cheers. They exclaimed, “Buttons has brought her babies!”

Immediately, Uncle G-Bro went out and sniffed the new members of their family.

The fawns did the same.

And then G-Bro started grooming them.

It surprised G-Bro’s owners at how gentle their dog was with the babies.

He had never dealt with fawns before, but here he was, playing with them and being oh-so gentle.

He would just lay there and let the fawns do their thing. They are children, after all.

They would climb up to him, nibble him, and try to check why he looked different from mommy, but uncle G-Bro would just let them be.

You can tell he loves them dearly.

Though, old habits remain. G-Bro still loves to lie down and ask Buttons to groom him.
