This vegan carrot 'bacon' recipe attracts over 12 million views

Tabitha Brown hopped on TikTok to record a simple recipe that has become known worldwide and thrust her into internet fame! Tabitha decided to go vegan to see if it would help her chronic pain after watching “What the Health.”
Carrot bacon?
Those two words feel like they don’t belong together, but they do! Tabitha made a recipe to make bacon strips that are actually made from carrots! For those of you who don’t believe, the stories of people who have tried it are many and overwhelmingly positive.
Laying out the simple steps, it is a recipe that anyone can try!
Ingredients and supplies:
- Carrots (however many you want)
- peeler
- liquid smoke
- maple syrup
- garlic powder
- smoked paprika
- onion powder
The steps are super easy!
Steps:
- Peel the carrots into thin strips, as many as you would like!
- Mix your liquid smoke, maple syrup, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and onion powder into a bowl and combine
- Soak your carrot strips in the liquid for about 2 min to pick up the flavor
- Place the strips in your air fryer at 380 for five minutes (you can use your over, but you will have to play with the temperature)
- Take them out and enjoy!
More than just a “copout” bacon, this is a genuinely delicious alternative!
Many recipes unsuccessfully try to replace animal proteins in a way that just doesn’t work. The great thing about this version is that it has the crunch and flavor that you look for in your bacon!

I wouldn’t blame her if she just sat down and ate the whole sitting, but she makes it into a meal! Getting a sundried tomato wrap, vegan mayo, tomatoes, onions, and a pickle, the “bacon” is added to complete the meal! Add some avocado for some extra calories and vitamins.
