When this delivery man saw that he was appreciated, a home CCTV camera captured his reaction, and it’s priceless!

Life is tough for delivery workers, especially in December, when deliveries increase like mad.

They have to spend all day lugging heavy items here and there. But sometimes, they get reminders that people do appreciate their hard work.

Kathy Ouma of Middletown, Delaware used to see her delivery workers on her home camera every other day. The men and women had no clue that Ouma knew of their existence outside of the packages and mail they left.

But one holiday season, Ouma decided to do something nice for the delivery people.

She decided to leave a box outside filled with snacks. The delivery workers could choose between candies, sodas and more. She also left a note asking them to take some of the treats back home and thanking them for their hard work over the holidays.

When an Amazon delivery man saw this note and the food, he was overjoyed. In fact, he shouted, “Oh, this is nice!”

So he picked up a few snacks and turned to leave. But he didn’t want to leave without showing his appreciation, in the form of dance.

He started grooving back and forth as he made his way to his van.

Ouma saw the footage on her phone, and she felt really pleased. She knew that the delivery driver felt appreciated. So she posted the video to her Facebook page.

In just a few days, the video had gone completely viral. In two weeks, it has managed to gain over 11 million views, 109,000 reactions and 8,300 shares.

But Ouma uploaded two versions of the video, and this other video, from a different angle, has become even more popular. It has managed to gain more than 17 million views in two weeks!

The original Facebook post has also gained a range of positive comments. People have been saying things like this:

It just goes to show that everyone wants to feel appreciated.

Sometimes, we can forget that those who work as delivery people, technical support specialists, waiters and so on are humans, just like anyone else. They all deserve to be treated with respect and compassion.

Hopefully, Ouma’s video will inspire other people to leave out treats for delivery workers.

As the videos show, the gesture really can brighten someone’s day. Even if just one percent of people who have watched Ouma’s video do that, that’s still 170,000 people leaving out treats for deliverymen.

In fact, leaving out treats for delivery workers over Christmas is becoming a thing. Ouma didn’t start it, but she has brought it to a much higher level of recognition.

Before Ouma, social media has highlighted other kind people who have left snacks outdoors for their delivery workers.

Thanks to Ouma’s post, people are able to see how much people actually appreciate the gesture.

Who wouldn’t want this to become a Christmas tradition? Everyone deserves to be appreciated and we all rely on delivery workers, after all!
