Sweet special needs cats become Internet celebrities

Able is a very lucky and cat. It’s really a surprise that he even survived.

When Able was just a year old, he fell on a loose – and live – wire while trying to hop off a roof to catch a bird. He was electrocuted and nearly died.

But someone took pity on him and brought him to a vet. Instead of being put down, the vets dressed his wounds, but he remained a street cat since no one wanted to take him in.

He wouldn’t survive on the streets of Chiang Mai, Thailand.

That’s when 49-year-old Walai Sriboonvorakul stepped in to adopt him and get him the care he needed – an amputation of his tail and front legs.

“The first time I saw Able, I felt such energy and inspiration to live my life,” Walai Sriboonvorakul said.

He made a full recovery, thanks to lots of love. Now, he can maneuver the stairs, chase whatever he wants, and hop like a mischievous kangaroo to get up onto chairs, shelves, and ledges.

”We called him ‘Able’ because he can do everything just like the other animals,” his owner said.

He also knows how to work the guilt trip just as well as (if not better than) any other cat – he’ll stare straight into your eyes until you give him what he wants.

Able and his disabled sister FinFin are pretty famous these days – and the pair even has two new siblings as well.

Together, Able & co’s Instagram account is entertaining 191K followers around the world!

Fin Fin’s issue is in her hind legs – they’re paralyzed. But she manages to drag herself around without a care in the world.

And the two cats have been inseparable for years – each disabled in the opposite way but never letting that stop them.

Able and Fin Fin share their home with Ginny – who is paralyzed after being attacked by a dog – and Pocky.

Fin Fin, Ginny, and Pocky are all paralyzed in the back of their bodies.

The foursome is so well-cared-for that there’s nothing they can’t do. And they probably don’t even realize they’re different.

They get into just as much trouble as any cat would.

Of course, that’s a testament to their loving owner, who has taken in 4 cats with special needs and given them all the love, affection, toys, and veterinary care they need.

And that’s a lot!

The crew enjoys birdwatching, sitting in the sun, and napping.

And just like any other siblings, they’re happy to give each other a little trouble every now and then too. No one gets a pass just because they’re disabled.
