Divorced mom about to take kids on vacation – turns around and sees ex-husband standing there
Divorce isnât easy especially in the eyes and hearts of our children.
Couples who have decided to end their marriage will undergo so much stress, adjustments, and pain. In fact, it can take years to get back to your feet after a divorce. Though, reality is, itâs not just about the couples who called it quits but about their children. Nothing can compare to the emotional impact that this decision will have to their children.
If you think itâs hard for the couple, what about their kids? Though, every situation is different and sometimes, it is just the best decision for everyone.
Children adjusting to their new daily lives, spending weekends on one parent and the weekdays with another and spending holidays twice can sometimes take a toll to these kids.
In some cases though, co-parenting is possible and is advisable.
Co-parenting means that two people who arenât in union such as marriage help each other in raising their children. They may no longer be married but their roles as parents donât change.
Laura Dee and her kids are seen in a video roaming around the airport. They seem lost and are looking around. Her kids were already worried a bit and are seen to be looking around for the right sign as to where they should go.
Lauraâs children had no idea that this was a set up. It was all planned because she wanted her kids to see a very special person.
Laura Dee has been separated from her ex-husband for 8 years now but they are practicing co-parenting. They are in good terms and are both working together to ensure that their children grow up without feeling incomplete.
They also usually take their children on holidays separately.
This one event though was different. Today, they agreed on a surprise â together, theyâll have a vacation in Cyprus with their children.
“As parents seeing our children upset is hard, all we want is to make our children happy. Co-parenting is hard for many people but we are proud of what we have achieved with bringing our children up,â Laura said to her interview with DailyMotion.
Darcie, 11, and Callum, 9 were busy looking around when the young boy spotted someone familiar!
He hugged his father and turned to her mommy.
âDaddy is coming with us!â said the happy mother to her children.
Callum hugged his father tight and Darcie was only able to shed tears of joy. Her father took her hand and hugged her too.
He asked them if they were alright and they simply nodded. They were crying because they were happy â a truly sweet surprise!
Indeed, it was a heartwarming scene. Something so simple for some but for these children, it was a memorable experience.
Divorced couples may no longer be married and be in love but their roles as parents wouldnât change a bit even though they are no longer together.
As long as their love for their children is strong, then they can work together and still be the best parents!
