Precious dog waits in cage near road hoping someone will see her
It is hard to imagine that some people have the heart to abandon their dogs, but this is a reality that happens in life.
Natalie, a sweet dog, was left on the side of the road by herself inside a small cage where she can barely fit. Nobody knew who left her there, but one thing is for certain: the dog needed help.
She has been left by herself for quite some time, and she has grown tired and hungry as she patiently waited for someone to arrive and decide to bring her home. The dog was not well, and she needed to eat and drink or she would be in trouble.
Because she was in a cage, some people must have thought that she belonged to someone.
But, as it turned out, Natali was left on her own with no food or water to keep her surviving. It was quite fortunate that a passerby thought it was strange that the dog has been there with no one to look after her.
The passerby knew something was not right about the dog’s situation, so they immediately contacted the Humane Society of Tampa Bay Animal Hospital and asked for their help. Hearing about the dog’s case, the rescue team from the hospital acted promptly to give assistance.
Everyone sprang into action and helped the poor pup.
Regan Blessinger, the hospital’s marketing and content manager, shared how the team immediately acted on the situation. They went and helped Natalie, who was then starting to lose trust in humans.
She waited for someone to help her, but no one came. And now, people are trying to approach her but she is showing signs of hesitation.
Natalie was afraid at first, but she eventually saw they the rescue team meant no harm.
She was nervous and hesitant at the beginning, but when the team finally managed to free her from her cage, the dog started to wag her tail. She is slowly showing signs of trust and the team was relieved to find her being more relaxed.
“Her tail wagged when she was out of the crate,” Regan Blessinger, the hospital’s marketing and content manager, said.
Natalie was brought to the hospital where she received the medical attention she needed. Her injuries were assessed, and she was given food to eat and water to drink.
Staff members wanted her to feel more calm so they gave her tons of hugs and cuddles to make her feel at home.
“Despite the scars on Natalie and the fact that she was left all alone, she was so loving and happy,” Regan shared further. “We could tell she was relieved she was now being taken care of.”
The way Natalie blossomed from fearful to free-spirited is such a beautiful thing to witness.
“Natalie was timid at first but warmed up to people and dogs quickly!” Regan shared. “She was loved by staff and volunteers because [of] how she would lay in the sun and look at you, waiting for some butt scratches.”
Natalie spent a month in the shelter before she was soon adopted into her forever family.
