Dog shows off his baseball-playing skills by hitting ball with his own bat

Many dogs love playing fetch, and that’s why many dog owners enjoy throwing a ball or stick just to be able to play with them.

Dogs are just super cute running back with a ball in their mouths after we throw it. They look incredibly happy and satisfied spending time with their parents.

Not all dogs are created equal though.

Pepper does love playing ball with her dad. She enjoys carrying out tasks since it is something her breed is known for. But you have to see Pepper’s skill with a ball bat.

This is a dog who is very passionate about what she does.

Her dad wanted to think of an activity that would have Pepper really focus and burn all her energy, so he thought of baseball.

Pepper is a Blue Heeler, originally bred to be herders, so she is “designed” to run and flex her muscles.

She lives close to Boston, Massachusetts, and has been training for a long time to hone her baseball abilities. Oh and Pepper also goes by “Big Pupi”.

One look at Pepper’s face when she’s playing tells you all you need to know. She loves baseball!

Pepper’s video of hitting home run worthy ball after ball was first posted on Instagram by Melissa Lawrence. Lawrence does work in the professional sports world.

Maybe that’s why the family dog is so in to baseball.

This dog isn’t in to all the running part though. Pepper prefers hitting the ball with her very own bat, and she’s pretty good at it!

Watch Pepper hold the bat in her mouth as she waits for the ball to come in her direction. She swings the bat and more often than not, hits the ball, sending it really far.

This dog’s got a future!

Her owner wanted everyone to appreciate Pepper’s impressive skills with a bat, so he set up a camera and got a game going in his shop.

Which means clips of Pepper batting had so many people smiling.

Even the big sports outlets began asking the hard-hitting questions like, who trained her? What team will give her a contract?

We’ve all seen dogs excel in sports movies but this is reality and Pepper could very well be the first furry athlete to make the big leagues and the big bucks!

Coaches and team owners will be lining up, waiting for their turn to speak to Pepper’s owners as they dangle their offers for a spot on the team.

Pepper, we suspect, doesn’t really care as she only wants to be playing with her owners. Her skills are hers and hers alone, though we do get to enjoy it on social media.
