Dog the Bounty Hunter announces he's engaged 10 months after losing his wife
How soon is too soon, you ask? It seems like you don’t have to wait too long after all. But no shame in that!
Beloved reality TV star, Dog The Bounty Hunter (real name Duane Chapman) recently confirmed that he is, in fact, engaged to his current girlfriend, Francie Frane, 51.
This engagement comes just 10 months after the unfortunate passing of his late wife, Beth Chapman (also known as Mrs. Dog).
Dog and Frane began dating at the beginning of this year and, while that is not a whole lot of time, they hit it off really well right off the bat. In fact, Dog got down on one knee and proposed while in self-isolation at their home in Colorado.
The couple is doing their part and abiding by lockdown rules. They are staying home for now, but they are very excited to get together and celebrate with their families when this is all over. The wedding is going to be big.
Chapman even said he wants to have, “the biggest wedding that’s ever been.” It will also be, “one hell of a party,” as, apparently, it will also be open to fans.
After Chapman proposed, Frane revealed that she was completely thrown by surprise. It was definitely classy though, and a memory that the couple will remember forever.
“I wasn’t expecting it at all. I think I had gone to pick up some food and then when I came back he had all the lights turned down with just a few lights on and a bunch of candles lit.”
“So when I came in I was like, ‘Wow this is awesome.’ Then he said, ‘Come in, sit down because I need to talk to you.’ So I put all the food in the kitchen and I came in and he said, ‘I know that God brought you into my life and I don’t want to spend one moment of it without you.'”
Then she began to tear up. It was a very emotional moment and she was being hit with a thousand amazing feelings all at once. That, mixed with the element of surprise, can really make a woman cry!
“And he got down to one knee and he opened the ring box and he said, ‘Will you marry me and spend the rest of our lives together?’
“Who can say no to that? It was wonderful.” Frane shared.
The wedding will not be happening while we are still in lockdown but when they get the green light, they are going to go ahead and have a massive wedding.
Dog’s 12 children, Frane’s two sons, and their grandchildren will be there. They are also considering making it so that fans can be in on the big event as well. Does that not sound like the biggest and best family gathering ever? All to celebrate beautiful love!
“And you know there’s always going to be haters, and I probably arrested half of them,” Dog said. “But the truth is that both of us have spent three years walking alongside our spouses sick and we know that God brought us together and that’s why we don’t believe that it’s too soon.”
Who cares about the haters! You go, Dog.
