You don’t have to be a pet owner to see how incredible dogs can be. They’re always charming.

When you spot a dog, even when you don’t know the breed, your first thought is usually about how cute or striking it is.

Small, medium or large dogs possess charming physiques that will make just about anyone stop and stare in admiration.

Their qualities will leave you drawn to them, too.

Dogs are hard workers, too. From police work to farming to therapy and guiding, there’s nothing they can’t do.

Moreover, it’s impressive how quickly dogs can master tricks and how sharp their instincts are. They can smell danger from a mile away, detect illness, and alert people promptly.

No wonder dog owners feel safe and at ease with their loyal companions.

Dogs bring such comfort.

In a world that leaves you feeling confused, terrified, and isolated, it’s reassuring to know that compassion, unconditional love, and loyalty still exist.

To remind you of just how intelligent dogs can be, here’s a heartwarming video of a dog helping out his friend, a horse.

The dog in the video knows just how much the horse loves carrots. And being the sweet animal it is, the dog went out of its way to fetch a carrot and bring it to the horse’s mouth.

How loved the horse must feel!

Lucky enough to witness the sweet moment, Tina LeVoir-Jones recalls the moment she saw it happen. She was at a friend’s farm for a visit, and it just so happened that it was snack time for the horse.

To her amazement, she saw her friend’s dog emerge from the house, holding something in its mouth. It was a carrot.

The dog broke into a run and headed for the field, cutting through stables toward the horse.

Clearly, at ease around each other, the horse was seen waiting casually and scratching its back as the dog got closer.

Once the dog was right in front of the horse, it paused as if to wait for the horse to finish.

When the horse was done scratching, the dog nudged the carrot in front of the horse’s face as if to say, “Here! This is for you.”

The horse eagerly ate it all up, with the dog watching patiently.

When the intelligent dog saw that the carrot was gone, it returned promptly to its owner.
